Petit Vour is a monthly vegan beauty subscription box. It’s a great box if you’re looking to try out new vegan and/or natural beauty products.

There are two subscription options to choose from. The base Petit Vour box is $18.00 per month and the Petit Vour Plus box is $25.00 per month.

This is a review of the $18.00 per month box.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

When you open the box, the first thing you find is the information sheet, which lists the products included, their values, and a quick blurb about what they do. After that, you can always expect to find four products safely nestled inside the box waiting for you to enjoy.

Each month comes with an info sheet, and the other side of the info sheet always features a new art print.

The Breakdown - What's Inside My April 2022 Petit Vour Box

Minori Lip Gloss in Blossom, 3.5 mL -  Retail Value $22

This lip gloss from Minori is so pretty- it really gives me Nars Orgasm blush vibes thanks to the pretty golden shimmer inside of the warm petal pink formula. The gloss looks deeply pigmented in the tube but goes on a bit sheer, and the overall finish is really pretty. As an added bonus, I didn't find the texture to be sticky or overly heavy on my lips, either.

Ada Lip Beauty Lip Scrub, 4 g - Retail Value $16

A lip scrub in stick-form is such a brilliant idea- why have I never experienced it before now? You go, Ada Beauty, for your innovative lip scrub stick that gives me all of the lip exfoliation without the mess of sticking my finger into a pot of scrub. This is a vegan scrub made with sugar, cocoa seed butter, shea oil, and jojoba oil, and it definitely helps with removing chaps from my lips and leaving them smoother and more nourished.

Kalos Triple Threat Detox Masque, 15 mL - Retail Value $9

This mask is made with the chemical exfoliant glycolic acid, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and antioxidant powerhouse Coenzyme Q10. It's designed to exfoliate and purify your skin without being too harsh, and it's paired with nourishing ingredients so your skin feels rejuvenated instead of dried out when you're done masking. This is made with cayenne pepper extract, so I wouldn't necessarily say it's safe for those who have rosacea, but I used it along my forehead and jawline and avoided my more sensitive cheeks when I applied this mask, and my skin was left feeling more soft and smooth compared to how it felt before I applied.

Goldfaden MD Detox Hydrating Gel, 7 mL x 2 - Estimated Value $19.04 (buy the 50 mL version for $68)

I don't know if I was supposed to receive two sample tubes or if that was just a happy accident, but I am certainly not complaining. This is a lightweight gel moisturizer made with salicylic acid to help with oily and congested skin, and that's paired with soothing ingredients like Centella, Lady's Mantle, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and glycerin. This isn't a perfect match for my skin type, but I really appreciated how lightweight this was without being drying while the salicylic acid goes to work at fighting oil control and the formation of whiteheads and blackheads.

Value - Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $18

Cost Breakdown:

  • Minori: $22 → $6
  • Ada Beauty: $16 → $4.36
  • Kalos: $9 → $2.45
  • Goldfaden MD: $19.04→ $5.18

Everything in the box adds up to $66.04, which is awesome for an $18 box that sends exclusively vegan beauty products. Alternatively, each of the 4 items has an average cost of $4.50.

Key Takeaways

I thought this was another great box from Petit Vour- I loved the two full-sized lip products I received, and the samples of the mask and the moisturizer were generous and not tiny. I am tickled that in my years of reviewing beauty products that I don't recall ever seeing a lip scrub in stick before now, so I really appreciate Petit Vour for bringing that into my life. Petit Vour does a good job of sending out well-rounded boxes with nice values for under $20, and I appreciate the effort they put in each month (it never feels like filler products have been put in my box the way it can with other subscriptions). If you try to focus on vegan beauty products (or have a friend who does), this is definitely a box you want to check out.
