PinkSeoul Mask Box Review

Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out what your skin type is.

Here is the info sheet that arrives with the box.

Secret Key Sweet Glam Two-Tone Glow Lipstick in Lollipop Pink - Retail Value $10.00

I think it is pretty obvious where this brand drew inspiration for their packaging, but this doesn't have the same weight to it that the Dior Lip Glow does. The packaging feels very light in my hands, and it houses a two-tone lip color that I would classify as a tinted lip balm rather than a lipstick. This only added a slight hint of color to my lips, but I liked the way it looked and that it felt nourishing on my lips as well.

Dr. Jart Ceramidin Facial Barrier Mask - Retail Value $6.00

I’m very familiar with this sheet mask-- it came in a set that Sephora had on sale that also had the body lotion and facial moisturizer, and I got two of the sets because I couldn’t resist the great deal. The Ceramidin line from Dr. Jart focuses on ceramides (it has a 5 ceramide complex in the ingredients), a naturally occurring lipid that helps to keep our moisture barrier protected. I’ve been reaching for this mask whenever my dry skin felt in need of extra love without a particular concern like acne or redness, and I like how hydrated this leaves my face.

Dr. Jart Cicapair Calming Mask - Retail Value $6.00

I love the Cicapair line from Dr. Jart because I love Centella Asiatica, but I don’t think this sheet mask is a must-buy. For the $6 price, I need a sheet mask to do more than mildly soothe and mildly hydrate my face, so while this technically did the job it didn’t wow me and I wouldn't seek it out for purchase.

Keep Cool and Soothe Mask - Estimated Value $4.00 (buy a box of 10 for $40.00)

I’ve used this mask before and I love it. It fits my face well, it’s hydrating, and it is great on inflamed skin when my sensitive skin is acting up. This actually does everything the Dr. Jart Cicapair mask does (only the key ingredients on this one is pantheon rather than Centella) while being $2 cheaper.

Soon Watermelon Hydrating Lip Mask - Estimated Value $3.20 (buy a set of five for $16)

I really love Soon masks, but I find their prices to be a bit high. High-five for getting this in a subscription box! This lip mask is infused with watermelon and also features Aloe Vera, niacinamide, and allantoin. After wearing it for 15 minutes my lips felt softer and more hydrated, and I was a happy camper.

Dewytree Deep Nutrition Mask - Retail Value $3.50

Dewytree  Deep No Sebum Mask - Retail Value $3.50

I liked these masks-- they were super thin and had a great fit. On my face, and the Nutrition mask was a light green color that sparked joy in me while I wore it. Both of these masks feature papain enzyme to gently exfoliate, and while one is targeted for oily skin and one is for all skin types, both were hydrating to my face (and if that papain enzyme did any exfoliating on my face, it definitely was a mild one).

Innisfree Jeju Root Burdock Energy Mask - Retail Value $2.00

Innisfree Jeju Root Beet Energy Mask - Retail Value $2.00

These masks come supersaturated with essence (or as I like to say, these sheet masks were wet and juicy). The burdock version is for clearing and soothing the skin while the beet is for vitalizing and clearing, but the performances of both were essentially identical, which was hydrating. All variations of the Jeju Energy masks feature five types of hyaluronic acid and root vegetable extracts from plants grown in the soil of Jeju island, and I have tried most of the variations at this point in time and have enjoyed every one. If you’re looking for basic hydrating sheet masks, at an affordable price, you really can’t go wrong with these.

SNP Vitaronic Ampoule Mask - Estimated Value $2.00 (buy a box of 10 for $19.99)

This sheet mask features three types of hyaluronic acid along with antioxidant-heavy orange extract and vitamin C. It hydrated my face and left me looking a touch brighter, but that could also have been from the forced relaxation I did while wearing this mask (man, things have been stressful lately!).

SkinRX Lab MadeCera Refine Mask - Retail Value $2.50

I’m a fan of this brand-- all of their products I have tried feature madecassoside and ceramides, and this version of their sheet mask also has antioxidants and nutrients from lemon, mango, and sea buckthorn extracts. Using this mask felt like a treat because of all of the nourishing ingredients, and my skin was well-moisturized once I was done.

The Verdict: It takes me a while to go through all of the sheet masks in this box, but I always enjoy them. At this point in the subscription box reviewing game, I can usually count on seeing at least one sheet mask that I have tried before, but I don't mind it. I especially love that we received two Dr. Jart masks which are more expensive than most, and I thought all of these sheet masks performed well for me. The value this month is on the lower end of what I’ve come to expect for this box at $44.70, but the costs of sheet masks vary so much depending on where you buy them, and if you’re willing to wait for international shipping, that I think the overall value should be taken with a favorable grain of salt.

I almost thought this was a repost because of the two repeat items. Had to do me a memory check.
