Look Fantastic February 2021 Review

Included was a nice booklet with loads of info on our products this month.

Eyeko Galactic Lid Gloss, 4 g – Estimated Value $9.50 (Buy this in 8 grams for $19.00)

I'm excited to get into our first item! This eye cream is in the color Zodiac which is a shimmery bronze color.  The consistency is thick and and smooth in texture. A little bit goes a long way because of the thickness. This product would be perfect for a night out!

Bubble T Strawberry Macaron Hand & Body Butter, 50 ml  – Estimated Value $5.54

My hands have been so dry this past winter season, so I am welcoming all the hand butters! This is an exclusive item between Look Fantastic and Bubble T and I'm loving it. The butter smells just like a sweet strawberry shortcake, or in this case, macaron, and the consistency is on the lighter side.  The smell stayed on my hands and kept them moisturized for hours.

Balance Me Aha Glow Mask, 10 ml – Estimated Value $5.80 (Buy a 50 ml for $29.00)

This glow mask is an exfoliant packed with fruit acids to brighten your face and give you a youthful look. I was expecting that rough scrub exfoliant feel, but the consistency is actually smooth in texture, much like a lotion. It smells like peppermint and felt great on my skin. I kept on for about 10-12 minutes and my skin did look a little brighter.  I'm looking forward to using this again when I need a refresh pick me up!

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, 15 ml – Retail Value $15.00

I LOVE the smell of papaya, so was very excited about trying this peel. Infused with natural enzymes from papaya and pineapple, this mask feels as good as it smells! This formula is creamy in texture and left my face feeling incredibly soft.

Illamasqua Beyond Veil Skin Glowing Gel, 6 ml – Estimated Value $7.50 (Buy 30 ml for $45)

The first thing that caught my eye with this product was the adorbs container it came in. Seriously, how cute is it?! I was unsure of how to use this item at first, as it is referred to as both a primer and a gel. Did that mean I should put this under makeup? Eh, I don't know.  And because I wasn't entirely sure, I decided to do some arm swatches.

The consistency of this product feels like a light gel.  When rubbed in, it gives skin a nice subtle glow. This product includes ingredients such as Vitamin C to help improve overall skin texture and brightness.

Magn!tone London Wipeout Swipes – Estimated Value $20.84

Our final item in the February box are makeup removal pads. Guys, I did not believe this product info when it stated just use warm water on the pads and to remove makeup.  Removing makeup for me is such a process! I use oil, then wash my face, then oils again because there is still residue. No way these pads can work with JUST water.

Well look at this! I was so shocked that with just warm water this pad took makeup off. I dried this area off shortly after I took this pic, and no residue! I am super impressed.

The Verdict: I thoroughly enjoyed this month's  Look Fantastic Beauty Box. There were so many skin care products to try! I'm someone who is very particular about what I put on my face, but I felt confident and trusting in these products. I am still so impressed by the makeup removal pads! They are washable and reusable as well. Such a great product! I estimate I received approximately $64.18 in product, which is a steal for having only paid $19.00.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first box will be next month's. (This page will let you know which box is currently available.)

Value Breakdown: At $19.00 for this box, each of the 6 items has an average cost of $3.17.

I love that Bubble T body butter! It works so well, smells fantastic and is long lasting. I didn’t know it was a limited edition…
I hope they decide to add it to their line because I’d like to buy more! I located it for sale on Mercari, Poshmark and eBay, but they are probably being sold by other Lookfantastic subscribers and therefore not a longtime source of the product.

The reviewer has an excellent point. Many times it is hard to tell what the purpose of a product actually *is*. With all the pseudo science gibberish on top of the marketing propaganda, sometimes it is beyond me the hell I am supposed to do with an item. Adding in the hilarious Korean marketing magic (ampule among others), and I am lost.
I give myself 5 minutes to figure out what a product *is* and what it is supposed to do. If I can’t, and until producers pay me, the product goes into the trash. Not traded, not donated. In. The. Trash.

Seems cruel to donate something just because you can’t figure out what it is for.

Hmmm my Lid Gloss was watery and did not apply well.

Oh bummer! I’m sorry to hear that. Maybe try reaching out to see if you can receive a replacement!

I got the same Eyeko lid gloss in the same shade from Ipsy last month and it was awful. I could not get it to apply or blend smoothly at all. The glitter was big and chunky in mine. I had to take it off and start over with regular eyeshadow.

No one ever believes me about these make-up remover pads. I have this brand and the ones from GLOV and they are awesome. No more struggles to get off eye make-up – and no more tugging or irritants near my eyes.

Looking forward to using the Elemis and Balance Me items. I gave the other products away this month, but was very happy with it anyway.

I know what you mean. I love my larger size face pad. It’s very gentle. It is amazeballs!

I was SO shocked about the makeup remover pads! Why didn’t I know about these sooner?!

Those Wipe Out pads are absolutely amazing! They work so well, I also have some from Glov that are equally amazing

I got that exact same shade of the Eyeko Galactic Lid Gloss from Ipsy last month and hated it. I rarely hate makeup products but I could just not get this to apply evenly or look decent. The glitter was super chunky in mine and made applying and blending a disaster. I had to immediately take it off and start my eyeshadow over. Maybe I was doing something wrong. Any tips on application would be greatly appreciated because I hate to waste a product.

On the positive side that Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel is one of my favorite masks! I absolutely love that stuff. I love those Wipe Out pads too, I got similar ones from Look Fantastic last year and still use them. They work just as good as makeup erasers do if not better.

The Illamasqua should be a primer that you put on before makeup. I have the original version and its a really nice primer. Not my favorite but its definitely above average in my opinion.

Thank you for the tips on the primer! I was a little clueless at first as how I should use. haha. I am still a learner when it comes to eye makeup, I’m not the greatest. I did find though that using an eyebrow brush makes applying cream shadows easier for me because of the sturdiness and slant of the brush. Hope this helps!
