Jewelry Subscription Box Review January 2021

Mega Gem Ring (Size 7)

This month, our package was noticeably heavier than previous months, so I couldn't wait to dive in. Like almost everyone knows, I am obsessed with rings adorned with colorless stones, and find the larger the better. Again, my stylist hit it out of the park. This size 7 masterpiece has a lot going on....huge center stone, smaller stones surrounding it, more stones on the band, and even more stones surrounding that, equaling a cocktail ring that will catch the glimpse of every eye. The weight of the ring is typical, and it fits my finger perfectly- just don't look too close at my insanely dry hands...this cold weather and all the hand sanitizer is killing them! Because we haven't "gone out" in forever, the only place I have worn this is to school, but even so, a group of junior girls have been drooling over it, so it must be pretty cool!

Textured Link Bracelet

Ah ha, part of the cause of the heaviness of the package...this linked bracelet is unique, shiny, and heavy! Stamped with "925" this silver bracelet features a unique flower pattern that I have typically seen in tiny accent diamond jewelry. This piece is very shiny and locks using a fold-over link clasp.  I really admire how this bracelet catches the light and has a vintage look to it. I'm not sure that this bracelet and the ring coincide that well, but they do look lovely separate.

Heart Toggle Necklace

To complete our ensemble, we received this large laser-cut heart and key necklace. Also donning the 925 stamp, this heavy chained necklace is easy to get on, and reversible. While I enjoy the toggle aspect of this necklace, the heart was just a little too much for me. I could definitely see myself rocking this as a teenager, but as an adult it lacks the quality I look for in a necklace. I did wear it to school with my skirt and jean jacket and found it actually looked cuter than I thought, so I might hang onto it before passing it onto my niece.

Verdict: Jewelry Subscription always sends an interesting mix of items, and this month was no different. My stylist again knocked it out of the park with the super sparkly cocktail ring! Yay! I have never seen a bracelet quite like the one I received, so it was fun to add an item as unique as that to my collection, and while I didn't love the necklace, it did look pretty cute with my jean jacket. If you are into collecting jewelry and receiving surprises, I suggest giving this box a try. I can't wait to see what they send next month!

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every box is different and items are selected based on your style profile!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $36.99 a month + free shipping, which means that each of the 3 items in the box has an average cost of $12.33.

I had a guy friend back in school (seriously, don’t ask how long ago!) whose hands would get so dry that they would crack and even bleed sometimes – in the Washington State cold & rain. I can’t even imagine what his hands are like now with all the washing and sanitizing!
Check out: O’Keeffe’s Working Hands – Derm approved, created by pharmacist & rancher’s daughter, Tara O’Keeffe, looking to repair & protect her father’s dry & cracked hands; O’Keeffe’s is now a global skincare company with “a 12 item product line…sold to Gorilla Glue Company….” This product is sold everywhere from big box hardware stores, Harbor Freight, Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, and Amazon, of course, among myriad others. Safe for diabetics. okeeffescompany.com;
and
Udderly Smooth Udder Cream – this one has a black and white “cow” pattern on it, and was “originally developed for use on dairy cows,” like to actually protect their udders from chafing. It does contain lanolin oil (so not vegan) and dimethicone (a silicone). Available at Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar Tree has 2 oz tubes, etc. udderly smooth.com

Does the personalization include sizes? I can’t wear a size 7 ring unless it’s on my thumb but it is lovely.

Hey Liz! It sure does. In your style profile they ask what size rings you would like. I have 7 and 9 checked for my ring and middle finger. I’ve gotten a few size 9 rings, but most often get size 7. Hope that helps! Thanks for commenting ❤

Great! Thank you 🙂

I love that bracelet, so unique! The ring is pretty too!

Aveeno’s skin relief moisture repair cream – intense moisture has helped my dry hands a ton. I only use it at night because it’s so thick. I use Avalon organics unscented lotion during the day.

Suzanne! My husband’s hands are a wreck and just today I was going through my stash to see what I had to help him and found a nice sized sample of that exact cream! I think I received in a Walmart box. I put it on him immediately and it seems to really be helping so I second that recommendation. 🙂

Thanks for commenting Suzanne! And thank you so much for the recommendations for my hands! I love Aveeno, but haven’t tried the relief moisture repair cream…it has gone straight on my grocery list though! 😊

Well, I wrote a long and really informative message, but it’s disappeared, so in case it doesn’t show up here’s the absolutely most minimalist version of it:
*O’Keeffe’s Working Hands Cream
*Udderly Smooth Udder Cream
Save your hands! 😁
