JustFab is a monthly clothing, shoes, and accessories subscription that allows you to shop in two ways - you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:

  • Take the Style quiz to note your size and style preferences.
  • Each month, JustFab releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your preferences which you can view in your personalized Boutique
  • Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

FYI, COVID-19 Updates: Stay up-to-the-minute on shipping delays, return policy changes, and more right here.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

JustFab December 2020 Review

I get a lot of questions about how this subscription works and since it is a bit confusing I figured I'd walk you through the process:

Signing Up

The first step to signing up is taking a short quiz to answer some questions about your style, or you can just skip that and go straight into registering for an account with your name, email address, and shoe size. Then they will take you to your "boutique" which are some items they recommend for you. While the $10 offer seems like it can only be applied to shoes, it will also take 40% off any clothing or accessories, which will be the price shown in red. Of course, once you go to check out, they may offer you some additional deals, so I recommend finding a few items and seeing how much you can save! Just a warning- they do sell out of items quickly, especially in certain sizes, so if you are in love with something, don't hesitate!

First Purchase

Just for fun, I added these slide sandals to my cart. Now you can see they ring up as only $10 so long as you select that you are joining their VIP membership. I've also included the terms of their membership program. FYI - I have successfully canceled an account in the past without having to call in.

Here you can see the difference between the VIP savings (left) versus just shopping without a membership.

Monthly Membership

Each month you can avoid paying the $39.95 membership fee by simply going into "My Account" and selecting "Skip the Month." Once it says "You've Skipped," you can just forget about this until next month with no obligation to shop or buy. You could also shop that month to avoid the credit, but I much prefer skipping and then shopping at my leisure, or even better, waiting for a sale to shop! Also, you get points for shopping and for reviewing items you've purchased which can be redeemed for a percentage off or even just a dollar-amount off which can add up fairly quickly. Although, sometimes the way the credit applies to sale items can get a bit tricky, so you may have to play around with it a bit to make sure you're getting the best deal.

Summary

  • It's $10 for your first pair of shoes or 40% off clothing or accessories for your first purchase.
  • Set a reminder to skip each month so you don't end up with a credit you don't want.
  • Shop sales to maximize savings!

This month I took advantage of their 50% off sale for Black Friday. Let's check it out!

Bubble Sleeve Sweater in Pink - Retail Value $59.95, VIP Price $39.95 (currently on sale for $23.97)

I thought this sweater would be a nice one for the holidays, it looked just a bit dressy but still cozy and comfortable, and I figured it would look nice if I added some jewelry to it to really dress it up. It is actually a bit darker and a deeper pink than it looked like in the photos online, but I actually really like the color in person. Although, if I were someone who was set on that light pink color, I probably would have been disappointed! I liked the way this sweater felt on, it was stretchy and the bubble sleeves add some character to the top, although my husband says he isn't a fan. It's definitely different, but I like it and think it's cute! Plus, it was on sale for $19.97. What do you think? Do you hate or love the bubble sleeves?

Plaid Cardigan - Retail Value $64.95, VIP Price $44.95 (currently on sale for $22.47)

This is the cardigan that I thought would be another great one to add to my current cozy wardrobe, but it's actually kind of a strange fit in the arms, almost too short and it's actually really scratchy (it's a blend of acrylic, polyester, and wool), so this was a bit of a disappointment. I do love the colors and I like that it has pockets and is really long, so hopefully, it will get softer when I wash it so it will be comfortable, too. I went with a different shade of brown underneath and I'm not sure how well that works, but a white or cream shade would probably be good! I ended up getting this sweater for $22.47.

The Verdict: I didn't go for a huge Black Friday haul, but instead I took advantage of the great JustFab sale for two things I had my eye on, so I'm pretty happy with the value I received this month. I like the bubble sweater, and while the cardigan isn't quite what I expected, I still love the colors and think it will serve its purpose of being a cozy addition to my wardrobe! I ended up paying $53.86 (including taxes and shipping) for these two items which retail for $124.90 ($84.90 VIP price), and while I'd never pay retail for these items, I think the sale price was pretty decent!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, these items are currently available!

ACTIVE DEAL: Get your first pair of shoes for $10! No coupon needed - just use this link.

Value Breakdown: The total retail value for these items is $124.90, and the current VIP total is $84.90. I paid $53.86 which is a discount of about 57% off retail and 37% off VIP.

Not a fan of the bubble sleeves but they would be useful for hiding batwings. The cardigan needed fitted cuffs for sure.

Every timer a “first look” code/link is posted it only offers me shoes. I am never offered the option of an outfit/look, but only the first pair. How do I get an offer for a first look. I am not a fan of the shoes due to a foot injury, so a first pair for ten collars is useless, but I would love a first look for ten dollars. Thanks.

Hi Tina,

The offer should work on clothing, too, it just won’t necessarily be the $10 offer. It’s kind of one of those deals where you have to add things to your cart to see exactly what your discount will be!

AH

I really like the bubble sweater on you Brandi. I don’t think I’ve seen a sweater quite like that, at first I thought the sleeves were just loose and flowy and ended at 3/4 length, and I thought that was a pretty look too lol. Poo poo on your husband for dumping on the bubble sweater haha.

haha! I’m sure he’ll come around to it…sometimes it just takes him a little longer to realize when I’m right. 😉 Lol
