Kal-Elle Fandom Monthly "Beetlejuice" Review
I couldn’t WAIT for this box to arrive because I adore Beetlejuice. It was one of my absolute favorite childhood cartoons! The front of the card has a fantastic illustration of the Ghost with the Most, and the back breaks down all the goodies contained within the box.
Beetlejuice Magnet – Estimated Value $4.00 (based on similar product)
I love that every Kal-Elle box has a magnet, and this one is going on my fridge right away! While this might be a bit of a dark mantra for every day, it’s a great line from the film and a funny bit of pop culture to have in the kitchen.
Lydia Quote Cuff Bracelet - Estimated Value $22.00 (based on similar item)
One of the best things about the Kal-Elle boxes is how unique the items are! This bracelet, designed by Kal-Elle, is so different from anything else I have in my wardrobe. I love the purple color of the main band, and the way the plate is affixed to the piece is so interesting!
Sandworm Necklace - Estimated Value $15.00 (based on similar item)
Brb while I go wear this necklace with every outfit. Considering my deep love for Beetlejuice, I’m an easy mark, but this sandworm necklace is amazing! Kal-Elle also designed this piece and it’s really a stand-out item. I love the shine of the metal accents, and the infinity-esque shape of the sandworm is so interesting.
Barbara and Adam Earrings - Estimated Value $12.00 (based on similar product)
It cracks me up that I like these earrings so much; the ridiculous horror faces that Barbara and Adam show to their after-life caseworker in the netherworld are not attractive. But I love how these are styled, and the colors that were used are so nice and vibrant!
Deluxe Beetlejuice Decal - Estimated Value $9.45 (based on similar item from the same artist)
Normally decals aren’t necessarily my thing, but I truly appreciate the artistry of this one! The composition is nicely balanced, but I think what really makes this piece is the multiple colors that are used. The green and purple combo are so eye-catching with the black and white stripes! I think this would look so awesome on a laptop as a really fun statement.
Beetlejuice Coasters - Estimated Value $8.75 (based on similar item)
I really love when boxes have a wide variety of product types, and I’m loving the presence of home goods along with the accessories! I have dinner on my coffee table more than I should, so I’m always reaching for a coaster when I have a hot plate or bowl of food. These guys will be used a lot in my house!
Sandworm 4x6 Print - Estimated Value $2.50 (based on similar item)
Kal-Elle boxes are always great at sending along a piece of art or a print with the items, and I really love how incredibly detailed this piece is. The sandworms are such a fascinating motif from both the movie and cartoon, and this is a great rendering of a creature in which we usually only get a quick glimpse!
Bonus gift: Lace Headbands - Estimated Value $1.95 (based on similar item)
These weren’t listed anywhere on the info card, but they’re certainly Lydia-esque! I love that these came in a set of two; my hair is dark, so I think the red one will look especially nice against my hair. The subtle rose pattern is so pretty, too. I may try wearing it to dress up an updo!
Verdict: What a completely awesome box! Beetlejuice is something that I wouldn’t have considered right away as a fandom, but the movie and the cartoon have such soft spots in my heart, I should’ve considered it so for sure! I loved the mix of both mediums shown in the items; while the jewelry was definitely movie-based, the other items showed a strong influence from the t.v. show. I know I’m going to get tons of compliments on all of this stuff.
