Bluum December 2017 Review
My son, Fox, is 21 months old, very active, and loves discovering new toys! We both have been loving our Bluum boxes! Let’s see what we received this month:
Wheels at Work Emergency Board Book – Retail Value $7.99
This amazing board book by Cocoretto is all about what each vehicle does to help in an emergency! Your little one can listen to you read, guess, and lift the flap to see what each car does. My son loved the cool red fire truck and the dogs with the police car. This type of flip book is great to help with memory and guessing. Plus, the pictures are so bold, this book is so fun to read! I loved reading about each car with my son to discover what they do.
Boon COGS Building Bath Toy Set – Retail Value $9.99
I have been looking at buying this bath toy set for months, I’m glad I didn’t since it was featured this month in my box! Each plastic gear has a suction cup that allows it to stick to the wall of your bath. The great part is that they are super easy to take off and move around, even during bath time! There are five gears in my set, and you can put them close together or spread out for fun bath time play. My son loves spinning them on his own, and watching the water make these gears spin, endless bath fun. I love that these are super easy to clean as well so I know we will have this toy for a long time to come!
Pals Space & Earth Robot Socks – Retail Value $9.00
These socks are perfect for the winter because they are super thick! I had my son wear these on an extra cold day, and I felt confident that his feet were warm and dry. They are a terry fabric with non-slip grips on the bottom and are super stretchy for extra comfort. We recently took my son to our local science center where he fell in love with all of the robot exhibits. Needless to say, he was extremely excited to see this mismatched robot print on his new socks! Comfortable, easy to wear, and super fun to look at!
Melissa & Doug Giraffe Grasping Toy – Retail Value $9.99
There is one of these giraffe’s at a local toy store that we go to for playtime weekly that my son is obsessed with. The wooden giraffe is really fun to look at and has a bungee that allows you or your little one to move into multiple positions. This is great for fine motor skills as your little one learns how to make the giraffe move, plus it is super easy for them to hold. This is a great toy to give to a baby as young as 6 months but is also a fun friend for someone older to have. My son loves to put this giraffe in the middle of his train track or have him sit in one of his cars to go for a ride. Melissa & Doug toys are the best and this one is right up there with some of my favorites from them!
Hey Girl Relax by Jean Pierre – Retail Value $8.19 (currently out of stock)
Last but not least, a gift for Mom! These green tea towelettes are great to use on your face to remove makeup or just excess dirt from the long day. I love the easy-to-use container that allows the packaging to stay fresh, and makes them easy to take with you on the go. I like to use this to remove my makeup, but also on my neck and chest to remove any grease or dirt from the day. It is also a great product to take with you to the gym for a quick wash of your face. This was a lovely surprise!
Verdict: I loved this month’s Bluum box! Some of my past boxes have been hit or miss, but they have really been improving lately. I do think my son is in a weird transition period as he gets closer to two years old as I’ve noticed some toys seem a bit too babyish for him. While he loves the Melissa & Doug Giraffe, I do think he will grow out and forget about it soon. Our favorite product of the month was the COGS and it was so great receiving them since I wanted to buy them on my own anyway! Even if some of the products aren’t always a hit right away, my son usually finds his Bluum toys later and falls back in love with them. This month, I received a total of $45.16 in products, a great overall value. Plus, it is always so much fun watching Fox discover each new toy from his Bluum box!
