Baby Gap Outfit Box December 2017 Box

Baby Gap just released a quarterly subscription box! They send you over $100 of mix-and-match pieces chosen based off your size and style preferences. Right now, they offer sizes 0 months-2T but will be adding 3T soon. You pay for the whole box when you order, but they make it really easy to send back anything you don’t love.

This is a review of the $70, “fun” style 3-6 month-old Boy's clothing box.

Baby Gap Outfit Box December 2017 review

The Subscription Box: Baby Gap OutfitBox

The Cost: $70 a quarter

The Products: The babyGap OutfitBox is a quarterly subscription box (that’s every 3 months!) delivered straight to your doorstep for baby, sizes 0 months-2T. (Please note: 3T will be available soon). Each box is delivered straight to your designated address and specially curated with 5 babyGap mix-and-match pieces based on your selected style preference.

Good to know: Free returns in the first 21 days!

Ships to: US for free!

Every box includes a pre-paid return envelope to send back any items you don’t love. Also, they sent a packing sheet showing my items, their retail prices, and “My Price” for each item – the money I’d be refunded for returning each item.

The “My Prices” add up to $70, the cost of the box, so if you return an item, you get that amount refunded to you.

Little Puppy Finger Puppet Book (free gift) – Retail Value $6.99 (found here for $5.94)

Every Baby Gap OutfitBox includes a free gift. Once I got socks, once I got sunglasses, etc. These kinds of puppet books are a hit with my kids (well, with my toddler at least, since my 2-month-old is too little to really be into books yet).

Long Sleeve Slub Baseball Bodysuit – Retail Value $14.95 (On sale for $12.99), My Price $8.07

Knit Pants – Retail Value $14.95, My Price $8.07

This little outfit is so cute – I love the embroidered bears. The fabric is really soft, too! I thought that the white of the shirt would show through if I layered a patterned or striped short sleeve bodysuit under it for warmth, but it doesn’t!

Long Sleeve Print Bodysuit – Retail Value $14.95, My Price $8.07

Flannel-Lined Poplin Pants – Retail Value $29.95, My Price $16.16

Another cute combo – grey and navy match a lot of what he has in his wardrobe already. Also, these pants roll up like this to have cuffs, or you can unroll them for a little extra length and no flannel showing. Plus, they have pockets! Not like they’re really useful at Jace’s age, but it adds to the quality a little.

Plaid Twill Bodysuit – Retail Value $24.95, My Price $13.47

The previously shown pants have a lining that matches this little twill bodysuit! This is perfect for church/holiday parties. My favorite thing about the bodysuit is how soft the fabric is! It’s much softer and warmer than I expected – not stiff at all.

Kanga Slub One-Piece – Retail Value $29.95, My Price $16.16

This is another favorite piece in the box – this one piece is so cozy! The fabric is really soft and I like how it doesn’t have a hood like I’ve seen a lot of one-pieces like this feature. I also appreciate a detail they incorporated with the snap closure along the inseam: the center snap hardware is gold instead of silver so you don’t get them misaligned.

This piece runs a smidge bigger than the rest which is perfect for layering a onesie for warmth, and it also means he’ll get lots of wear time with it!

The Verdict: This is GAP’s third Baby Gap OutfitBox shipment, and it’s one of my all-time favorite subs now. Before this subscription, I had never shopped at Baby Gap before (there’s never been one near me). The “classic” style category was a perfect choice for my style for Jace, and everything is definitely high quality, true to size, and adorable. I love how fun it helps me have dressing my son! (sometimes it feels like girls get all the fun/cute clothes, you know?) Also, returns are super easy with the prepaid bag. For $70, I got $129.70 retail value, not including the free gift book. I think a seasonal/quarterly box is a smart choice for their model, price point, and product. All in all, I’m really happy with this box yet again!

Do they automatically go up sizes based on your child’s age? Ex. my son actually wears size based on age he is 7 months and in 6-12 months- after he is 12 months do they bump up to the next size or do I need to tell them?

Do you know when the next box would be out? I want to subscribe but I’m thinking it would be best to wait, rather then getting the Winter box when it’s almost Spring.

I saw a lot of comments on social media criticizing this subscription box because of its price, saying that $70 is too high when the Gap frequently does 40-50% off sales. I’m glad to see that you are getting a discount with each item and this is pretty good value for the number of items. This is my favorite place to shop for baby clothes so I’m interested in trying this.

Baby gap is amazing. My son got an outfit with the coolest pair of shorts. We have pictures of him in those shorts at 6 months with diapers, 2 with pullups and 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7. the shorts kept getting shorter but continued to fit until he was 7 years old. We used to laugh about it and said he would be married with them on under his tuxedo.

Cant beat the quality of baby gap.
