Unique Vintage November 2017 Dress Front

Unique Vintage 1950s Black & Fuchsia Pink Floral Delores Swing Dress with Sleeves – Retail Value $98

This dress comes in multiple colors (see a few more here and some are on sale at the moment if you like the style) but I have to say, these fuchsia and purple flowers may be my favorite. These colors are perfect for me  (I do have a lot of hot pink in my wardrobe these days.) I would typically pull this down a bit so the waist sits a little lower, but I am wearing an abdominal binder because I had a hysterectomy at the end of October and I just need a little support in my midsection, which meant I couldn’t position this 100% where I normally would. (That is also why there is no petticoat shot this month – it would totally work with the skirt, though, if you are so inclined.)

I would totally wear this to work, too, as-is, though I will wait until I don’t need the binder any longer.

Unique Vintage November 2017 Dress Back

The back is pretty standard. This fabric had just a little bit of spandex which made it easy to zip and made the fit a bit more comfortable. I like the sleeve length (I am all about half and ¾ length sleeves), too!

Verdict: This subscription costs $57 if you include shipping and the dress I received has a retail price of $98, which I think is a great value. It is new merchandise as always (a new style and not a closeout). I absolutely love the cut of the dress and the print on the fabric, and the fit is quite good this month, as well. (I don’t fit neatly into the Unique Vintage size bins so some months are pretty tight around the midsection, but this one was nice in that regard.)

I am not a dress girl at all. I am a leggings and sweater type. But that dress is amazing! J/s

I only started wearing dresses last year. I was trying to lose weight and didn’t want to buy a new wardrobe in my “in between” size, but I had some dresses in the “in between” size, so I wore them until I got too small for them, and then when I got a new wardrobe, I decided to keep wearing dresses (probably at least half the time).

They are Steve Madden “Getta” pumps. I have them in 4 or 5 colors. I think they may have been discontinued, but there are still a lot of 3rd party listings at Amazon.

At this point, I have to wonder if those dresses just look good on everyone or you have the perfect figure for modeling dresses, because you always look stunning in them

They look good on the models on the website, too. Granted, the regular size models are 3″ taller with thinner waists, but the plus size models also look great in the dresses.

I have a couple Unique Vintage dresses in my Gwynnie bee closet, that I am hoping to get to try as I like the style of the brand.

If you find that you like the dresses, I’d encourage you to sign up for the Unique Vintage email list, as they occasionally have sales (and they usually have a few items on clearance as well). They seem to offer pretty much everything in regular and plus sizes and I find their sizing to be pretty true to the size chart on their website (at least for the small, which is what I get).

I ordered a few things for the first time during their black Friday sale. All mystery items. I just couldn’t help myself with the awesome dresses you get. Hope you have a speedy recovery! Thanks for reviewing this box!
