I really wish I get the fan brush and the duel ended tweezers. I don’t have even 1 fan brush for my collection and those tweezers look interesting so I would love to try them. Time will tell. Fingers crossed

I know they’ve discontinued the option to choose an item and I for one haven’t been given an option for any survey, but is there a way to get them to actually pay attention to likes/dislikes you’ve already expressed? I don’t know why but I keep getting, over and over and over, the exact opposite of what I asked for in terms of color…and I know it’s not a case of having no items that fit, because I see they’ve sent out items to others that would’ve worked for me. In fact, several of my friends and coworkers are receiving neutral lip colors this month – even one who specifically asked for brighter colors on her profile – but, although neutrals is the ONLY box I checked, all I EVER receive are bright reds. I don’t have a lot of boxes checked as far as specific types of items requested, but I did check for nail items, yet NEVER receive them. I’ve even emailed support asking if there’s anything further I needed to do and got the standard “Make sure your profile reflects your preferences and be sure to review your items!” …which, needless to say, I’ve been doing for a while. I don’t understand how this works, especially since the emails I’ve received from support pretty much promise that the NEXT bag – always the NEXT one – will be even better because listening to the customer is supposedly what sets Ipsy apart. I don’t see the point in asking the customer for their preferences, then totally disregarding them time after time and sending them items they can’t use. It makes no sense. Why not just have one set box or two or three variations?

Same here. There would be a list of products that you could choose one from. I also get products that I am not too happy with. I will be cancelling this subscription.

@Bex, just a question/suggestion, do you review the items that you are receiving each month? If you’re giving those items bad reviews then between that and your profile choices you should be getting something that you’ll like in your bags. I switch up my profile every other month and make sure I review everything, especially when I don’t like it so I don’t get any more of the same thing & as been working well for me…

I’d like anything moisturizing! And that Doucce mascara, I loved the last one enough to go buy another. I’d also like a fun color eyeshadow. It’s the holidays! No more nude everything for a while!

Jodi

I’ve been planning to cancel for a while but decided to stick around until December because the bag is really pretty. Looking at the spoilers, nothing even remotely interests me so I’ll be unsubbing after I receive my bag.

Reply ButtonReply

Jodi

Where did you see a pic of the Dec. bag? I don’t see it here. I love when we actually get nice bags UNLIKE Nov. ugly IMO. And my last two bags had really good contents inside so I’m kinda blown away and definitely staying as long as they keep it up but I’m canceling Sephora play today. I’m over their little 100 point perks and especially over their rewards system and the fact that we spend $100 just to get ONE of those little samples in Sephora Play. It’s all around a complete scam.

Omg my first Ipsy bag came in today I’m excited I love everything except for the tarte blush not that I don’t love it I just got one and this one is lasting me forever so far I really wanna swap the blush for a lipgloss anyone wanna swap?

I was able to do the poll a little over a week ago. If I could get those exact products, I’d be really happy. But they also need to be big. My products were so small this year.

Reply ButtonReply

Kara

I was able to rate the products. It was so nice to tell them what I didn’t want since a lot of it was stuff I didn’t need or want. So hopefully I get the things I loved.

Lisa

Does anyone know if they still let you opt out of certain items? I think in the summer I had read in the comments someone saying you could, up to 2 or 3. If so I would really like to do that. I don’t want to change my beauty profile/redo the quiz because I generally like everything I get but sometimes, or more frequently than I would want, I seem to get something I absolutely don’t use like primers, CC & BB creams and mascaras. Not that I don’t love mascara but waterproof formulas are the only ones that work for me. Seems like Ipsy is changing a few things so I was wondering if anyone was still in the know about opt’ing out. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

I checked with them recently and they let me opt out of two categories of items.

Reply ButtonReply

Tiffany

You used to be able to do that. To choose something specific you did or didn’t want from their offerings for the month but they stopped doing it

Reply ButtonReply

Gidget

Can’t wait to see December’s bag. These products look great! It would be nice if Ipsy treated their subscribers equally though.

Siren

I’ve been a subscriber almost since the beginning. I did not get an email, but I was able to do this survey by hitting the account link and there is a drop down and I located the survey there. Good luck, everyone!

Reply ButtonReply

joyce favor

Don’t see a drop down for survey

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa MacDonald

I don’t see that. Where exactly did you see the drop down menu?

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

The drop down is evidently not available for everybody. One bag I have it and on my other sub I don’t.

It does not seem fair that Ipsy is not permitting all accounts with this option and hopefully Ipsy will finally make it available to ever sub account.

Linda

I used my laptop and did this survey yesterday. Cross my fingers to get some the items I said YES to! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Annabananna

How did you get to the survey? Was it an email? Or directly on your account page?

Reply ButtonReply

Linda

My account page, never received an e-mail

Nikki

I’m not too picky, I’ll try anything just please no more kadar! Lol the app survey thing, is it depending on device? I have andriod and don’t have it. I hope to get it soon as well

I would love the City Color Shimmer Shadow if it were that gorgeous grape pie color! DEFINITELY The mint pear Rosehip serum. I’ve wanted to try that brand, and the serum would be the perfect start. I wouldn’t mind extra brushes (the angled blush and fan). I’m sorry to say those four are the only items that interest me. I can’t do skincare, I make my own lip balms and scrubs, and I have more than a year’s supply of mascara right now. I wouldn’t mind hair products, but the hair oil is too much for my fine hair.

I think the sheet masks are a smart idea. I don’t like them, but they are very popular. I think many of the items listed here would please a wide audience.

I have been hoping they would get some liquid eye liners instead of all the pencils. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Beth

I’ve gotten a Mint Pear serum sample before (I don’t recall if it was that one) and it was the tiniest sample of anything I’ve ever gotten–basically the size of my upper thumb! You really can’t get results from a serum sample that small–it kind of seemed like a waste of their time and product, tbh.

The list looks awesome. What I cannot use I donate to a retirement living home. A lot of the ladies that live there are on very fixed incomes. They love it when I bring in boxes of product. I also have three granddaughters that are starting to wear makeup, so they love picking through my baskets of hoodies!

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle Roberts

That’s an awesome idea! I hadn’t thought of that!

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

Enough with the Ouai hair oil already. My hair needs LESS oil, not more.

Minus 417 is an awesome brand, and I really hope I get it. The stuff is formulated with Dead Sea minerals.

Reply ButtonReply

Cheyenne

I use the Marc Anthony hair oil i received in my October bag on my ends. Mostly because it smells amazing but my hair is oily to begin with.

Reply ButtonReply

Siren

I love hair oils, but never use dry shampoos 😁 Everyone loves different things.

Reply ButtonReply

Tara

I would totally take your hair oil. I got dry shampoo spray. Why in the world would I want that?

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

If I get any hair oil I’ll trade it for your dry shampoo! ❤️ I have the oiliest hair on earth and without my dry shampoo I can’t even get thru 1 day let alone “next day” hair 🙄😏😂 when I was a teenager I had to wash my hair twice a day, morning and night cuz it was so bad… Soooo happy to have found dry shampoo 😍😊😍😊

Kristi

I use mine on my legs. My hair is oily to begin with so this is a better alternative. My legs always need the moisturizing.

I’ve been a subscriber got four years and I don’t seem to have access to the survey, so it’s not about length of subscription (or at least not just that.)

I tried downloading the Ipsy app and found nothing -in fact, it looked exactly like the web page.

I tried downloading the shopper app, as suggested below, and it wouldn’t let me log in. It said “we’ve moved”and redirected me to the Ipsy web page. I tried logging into the app anyway, and it told me that it was just for subscribers and directed me to subscribe. O.o

I tried poking around in my account on the web page and still nothing.

I hope they offer this survey to the rest of us eventually. And by eventually, I mean soon.

Is there a new method to pick a product (s) the month before? In the past, you could pick one and email Ipsy and tell them. Now you can’t (at least according to my September email from them.) They said they were working on doing it differently, since they did away with emailing the one product choice. Any word on it yet?

Reply ButtonReply

KimberlyB

Woohoo, all those lip products!!

Psychologists say that anticipation of something builds up your enjoyment and happiness about it, whether it’s a material object or an event. This happens even with small things, like a new lippie, or cozying up with your bae / pet / pizza & ice cream after work / school / whatever.

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

I picked 5 things. I was also able to go back & re-take the quiz if I changed my mind (I’m receiving a powder brush this month, so I unchecked the powder brush in the future spoilers).

Reply ButtonReply

Valeria

Maybe just me but I feel like Ipsy peaked with this month’s products, with the Tarte blush and all the awesome lips products and skin care stuff. They had a really good selection of brands too. Looking at this list it’s like all the same brands I’ve been getting stuff from Ipsy this past like 1.5 years, and half of them aren’t even that great. Trestique especially is overdone! Wish it wasn’t all the same mediocre stuff.

Reply ButtonReply

I’m with you. I’ve been a member a few years and I’ve seen or gotten everything on this list except that one Smashbox liner. I’m on the verge of cancelling this one, sadly.

Reply ButtonReply

tasha wojciechowski

I don’t see the survey or am able to get the Ipsy shopper ap( maybe it’s a US thing)
I’ve been with Ipsy for over a year and will continue ; anything I don’t use/want I like to give as gifts and with Xmas coming up great stocking stuffers !

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Was going to skip a month then saw the survey with 30 items. Yay. 🙂 it will be great getting products I will use for a change

Reply ButtonReply

Alicia

How do you find the survey?

Reply ButtonReply

Julie B.

It’s nice to see the list, but makes me kinda sad knowing that with all the variations most of us won’t get what we would like the most. Wouldn’t it be great if we could actually choose our five items every month?!

Reply ButtonReply

Bella01

I cancelled Ipsy. I’m tired of all the misleading variants we should receive but never do.
I don’t miss them either. I’m done with IPSY

Reply ButtonReply

Frances W

What a great list of potential items coming our way! I am in the same boat as others, the survey option is not available to me yet either. No one seems to know what the common denominator is as to who sees it in their account settings and who doesn’t. Hopefully we all get it soon!

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

I don’t see it either… I’m honestly thinking it might be for those who have been with Ipsy the longest… Maybe it’s random but I don’t have the ability to skip a month either like I’ve heard others talk about but I’ve only been with them since July this year too soooo… Just my thoughts on this topic.. ❤️

Reply ButtonReply

Teff

I’ve been with IPSY since April, and found the survey last month. So I don’t think it has much to do with how long you’ve been subscribed.

I found out about requesting items in August, and took advantage of that until they ended that option in October. I also opted out of dry shampoo. There was some confusion at first, but after a few emails, I believe they opted me out of the right category. As far as I know, you can still opt out of things you don’t care for.

Is it possible that emails to IPSY trigger the survey? How many people have emailed to complain or opt in/out of products, and then found that survey? Just a thought..

Liina

I’ve been with ipsy for over 3 years and no survey. 🙁

Charlotte

I doubt it Lori! Other people on here can’t see it that have been with them quite awhile (one girl 4 years), and I’ve been with them over 2 and 3/4 years. I can’t skip a month either! It sounds like the pilot program they stopped in October of picking 1 product and only some ipsters got notified about it and then everyone started doing it. To me that was a good one! These are only my guesses…so, who knows? I hope we’ll find out soon💗

Wendy

Try the app. That’s what I use and I have survey and skip option. Not sure if I do when I log in elsewhere. Hope that helps!

Lori

I love all of the sheet masks they’re doing and I really wanna try the stay matte and other primers too. The serums look great and I’m really interested in the magnetic mask so I get that one at some point too 😉 ❤️ 🤗 looking great Ipsy!
