Honest Diapers & Wipes Review - October 2017
Honest Company Diaper Bundles are always huge, since they have enough (or more than enough) for a month! Here's what I got in my October delivery, in the photo above.
If you're not familiar with this subscription, here are the basics: You always get 6 packs of diapers and 4 packs of wipes each month. For the diapers, you can select your favorite patterns, and Honest will randomly pick for you depending on what's available. You can swap in Overnight Diapers or Pull-Up style diapers for any of the 6 packs. You can even change the size on just some of the diapers, and you can also add on extra products for a 25% discount. (Plus, they occasionally have subscriber perks, like free items you can add on!)

This box shipped a little late because my card was declined and it took me awhile to fix it, so I thought I might miss out on the really fun prints this month– but I still got some really great ones for fall! This is my favorite time of year and these prints are so cute:
These prints are a collab with The Great, whose founders are friends/stylists of Jessica Alba's. I honestly can't pick a favorite one! The plaid is so cute (and perfect for this age where my son is often refusing to put pants on after a diaper change), but the camping theme and the blue woodsy pattern make me smile.
Honest's diapers do fit a little small! It seems like maybe a half size to me, not a whole size. Since my box shipped late due to my billing issue, I had to fill in with some other brands, and the size 6 seemed really really big on my kid, but for Honest they fit him better.
I also got two packs of one of their newer always-available designs that features breakfast foods, and the overnight diapers (called Sleepy Sheep):

I always substitute one of my diaper packs with overnights. Now that my son is older and doesn't drink milk before bed, these are working way better for us. I still have a lot of leaking with non-overnight diapers and other brands when we run out. The pattern has also been a good way to remind our babysitters which diapers are for bedtime because it's not always obvious with other brands.
4 pack of Honest Wipes – $18.95 ($4.95 individually)
These wipes are still hands down my favorite baby wipes. They're the perfect size, thickness, and texture! I do feel like this most recent batch has more of a scent to it than they have in the past; not sure if they've changed their formula, or it's just the batch, but I actually love the smell! It's a very natural botanical smell that doesn't stick around after you use the wipe.
Once your kid is older, 4 packs of wipes each month is a little excessive. I do still wish that you could swap these out for other items if you want to, so hopefully that change will come soon! My most recent way to use the excess amount of wipes I have on hand is to use them to wipe down our baseboards when they start to get a bit dusty. I swear these work better than those disposable disinfectant type wipes, which always seem to just smear dust around.
Verdict
Having gone back and forth between Honest and other diapers over the last few months, I really do value this subscription. The convenience is excellent; bundles are easy to reschedule over the app or website, and I love being able to add on extra items too to completely avoid needing to run to the store. The diapers are great and perform well, and just happen to be super cute, too. Aside from getting so many wipes each month, we're really happy with our Honest subscription!
Value Breakdown: For $79.95, here's what you're paying roughly for each item:
- 6 packs of Honest Diapers - $65.20, or approximately $10.87 per pack
- For size 6, that works out to about $0.49 per diaper, but would be cheaper for smaller sizes since there are more per pack.
- 4 pack of Honest Wipes - $14.75, or approximately $3.69 per pack
