Now, on to the brushes!

Morphe E6 Premium Flat Buffer – Value $15.00

This flat-topped buffing brush is ideal for working foundation or liquid moisturizer into the skin. It glides over the face with a really pleasant plushness. I found it to not eat up any excess liquid – like a sponge does – so it could really help with conserving product. Instead, it evenly distributes extra product into the skin. Super appreciated, especially with pricier formulas!

I’m really happy with the soft-focus finish that this brush provided, and I’ve included photos of each brush in action at the end of my review. I hope that you find them to be helpful in determining how each brush can be best used for your needs!

Morphe M577 Jumbo Crease Brush – Value $6.00

This brush has a rounded top that’s great for eyeshadow application. I used it to blend a shadow that contrasted with my lid color into the crease. Its sable bristles are gentle and optimal for blending.

Morphe M578 Round Pencil Crease Brush – Value $4.00

This brush is the partner in crime to the M577. While the jumbo crease brush buffs out a defined shadow, this round brush is just right for the shadow’s precise application. I used it to apply a medium brown shadow to my crease as well as my lower lash line.

Morphe M576 Pointed Blender Brush – Value $6.00

This pointed blending brush has fluffy bristles that measure 3/4″ in length. Its soft touch creates a gentle finish — perfect for fine-tuning the blend-out of your eyeshadow look. I used it to sweep a transition color along my crease, just above the medium brown and into my brow bone.

In order to provide a little more context as to what worked for me, I wanted to show you how I used these brushes in my everyday makeup routine.

Morphe Me September 2017

The E6 was absolutely perfect for buffing in tinted moisturizer. I normally use a Beauty Blender, and sometimes I use my hands if I’m opting for the lightest in coverage of my preferred formulas. However, I found that this brush created a much more even finish than my Beauty Blender provides. The tinted moisturizer that I used was light coverage, but this brush would work well with heavier, full-coverage formulas as well.

I also used it to blend a contouring shade of liquid blush along my cheekbones.

Finally, it worked wonderfully to buff in a cream highlighter. Lots of uses for this brush for a flawless face!

Morphe Me September 2017

I used the M577 in conjunction with the M578 to add some contrasting shadow to my crease and lower lash line. Though this look is pretty natural, these brushes would be awesome for a more dramatic look wherein precision is more of a necessity.

Morphe Me September 2017

It was tough to get a good shot of this step! To finish my eye look, I used the M576 in a sweeping motion with a soft nude shadow shade. This brush is great for buffing out shadow for a beautiful transition, and I’m excited to use it to buff out smokier or more colorful eye looks as well.

Here’s my finished face. I’m so happy with how these MorpheMe brushes helped me easily achieve a look that works for every day.

Verdict: The quality and variety of brushes in this month’s MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club box were awesome! They are soft, luxurious, and versatile. These 4 brushes came to about $31.00 which exceeds their promised value of $30. I’d say that this makes the $19.99 box cost more than reasonable, especially if you’re a makeup lover like me.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Order by September 22nd to receive the September “Aquatic Dreams” box.

  1. On a few different indie makeup blogs, brushes have been discussed. There were quite a few recommendations for this brand. They stated good quality and well made brushes. Then the sub was recommended because of the good deal on pricing.

How does this exchange of brushes work that was briefly mentioned?

  2. Thanks so much for your awesome review and for taking pictures of how you are supposed to be using the brushes 😍 I’ve been trying to decide if this is a good fit for me cuz I’m a lil fed up with Birchbox and their teeny tiny samples… I’m thinking of seeing how I can customize Ipsy for another month (only been 2&I’m liking them so far) and I may drop Birchbox for this one…

  3. You ladies are killing it with these new structured reviews. Thank you for putting the products in action (especially the brushes, cos I need all the help I can get) & the cost breakdown.

  4. Good Review, I do like this month’s brushes

  5. Great review!

    • Thanks, Tara! 🙂

  6. Thanks for including pictures of the brushes “in action”! It’s helpful to see what they’re supposed to be doing. Plus, you look lovely!

    • Thanks, Jackie! Glad that the photos are helpful. 😀

  7. Great review. Love the photos, thanks!

FYI – The value breakdown listed above just provides a summary of RV. But with the sub, in this box you’re paying about 64% of RV. So the breakdown is

    9.67 for E56
    3,87 for M577
    2.58 for M578
    3.87 for M576

    • Oops! Sorry about that! The post has been updated. Thank you, Beth! 🙂
