Peachy Box includes an info card with descriptions of the contents and the theme for the month. This month’s theme is “Mermazing”.

Let’s check out the items!

Peachy Box July 2017 Women's Beauty Subscription Box

Hensley Asher Co. Body & Air Mist, Sage & Sea Salt, 2 oz. – Value $5

The first thing I noticed about this box is it smelled so good! This mist is amazing. It can be used on hair, body, or as a room mist. The packaging is simple and pretty and the scent is an instant pick-me-up. This product is from an Etsy store. I love the idea of supporting small businesses and finding products I might never have stumbled upon myself.

Honey Belle Natural Loofah Soap, Eucalyptus Peppermint, 5oz. – Value $8

Another small business! This scrubby soap is perfect for removing all that scaliness from your legs and getting your skin beach ready. It isn’t too rough and has coconut oil and glycerin to moisturize. This scent is invigorating and makes the shower smell great even when it is just sitting there. And, for every soap purchased, the company donates one to someone in need!

Camille Beckman Bath Salts, Full Relaxation, 2 oz. – Value $3 ($12 for set of 4)

I love a good salt soak and this one was so relaxing. I received Full Relaxation which is a lavender and eucalyptus infused mix. After long days and tough workouts, it is nice to have an excuse to sit still and just soak. I was a bit confused at the value given. Each box should have received one of four different soaks that come in the set, but the value on the info card was for the whole set. I have updated the value to reflect one soak.

Fish Tail Make-up Brush – Value $7.01

This is one of those items that I didn’t know I needed until I saw it. How adorable! Spot on with the mermaid trend and actually useful. This big brush is great for highlighter, bronzer, or contouring. The bristles are short and dense but really soft. And, it comes with a snap closed plastic cover that is great for travel and storage.

Kikkerland Fish Nail Clipper Set, Copper – Value $6

Another too cute item! These little fish shaped clippers are well-made and pretty with a copper finish. There is a small and large size and each has an emory board inside of the arm. They actually trim well and are easy to hold onto. The brand is another clever find and has a lot of fun items on their site.

Black Lace Choker – Listed Value $8

Do mermaids wear chokers? Well, this one does now. This black lace choker is stretchy, soft, and a step up from the plastic chokers of my middle school days.

Verdict: I think Peachy Box delivered on the curation of their monthly theme “Mermazing” this month. This box was full of cute items that look great as a collection. I really appreciate the inclusion of products from small, artisan businesses and I feel like that is where the value is in this box. The total value was about $37, which is just above the cost of the monthly box plus free shipping. If you like pretty packaging and learning about new, trendy products all fitting within cute themes, then this is a great box for you.

What do you think of this month’s Peachy Box?

  1. I love everything in the box but not for the price they are charging. They are not the only ones who inflate the prices. The mermaid brush was in the Boodle Box 2 and they had it listed for more also. If they would come down on price I would enjoy receiving this box.

  2. Tiffany, great review! I love reading your reviews. 🙂

    • Thank you!

  3. This looks like a fun box…if it were at maybe a $20 pricepont. Ar $35, no way. I find it to be pretty sketchy that the box seems to deliberately try to mislead on prices by listing the full size prices for the spray and bath soak when in reality they only sent a 1/2 size bottle and one packet rather than a full set. That being said, I thought it was a well done review…Looks like Tiffany did a good job of noting the jacked-up prices and figuring out the real value!

  4. Is this a joke? A $35 box with a value of $37? The card doesn’t even state the true prices.. or the reviewer did not double check the value. The review states the makeup brush is worth $7 and the card says $12. If $7 is the true price then the reviewer did an amazing job at finding the truth. I just can’t believe this company charged $35 for this box. Sounds like Peaches and Petals is trying to re-brand or a copycat company is just trying to make money. All in all, NO. Yet another box trying to get ill-advised consumers to throw money in the trash.

    • I think the review (as most MSA reviews) links to the cheapest of that item they could find, which in this case, if you click on the link for the brush, is $7.01. That shows you the true current value, not the value the box curators want to put on it (which is sometimes ridiculous).

I do agree that the value is definitely not there for this box. They value it at $58, which is about $20 over.

    • The value was pretty disappointing. I ordered the July box because the mermaid theme was intriguing, but I cancelled soon after I got my box. For $35, I expect a much higher value. They asked for feedback and I told them this. They explained that they are hoping to bring higher value in the future, but for right now they are purchasing every item so they have a certain budget that they have to work with.

The good aspects of this box though is that I received my box extremely early in the month, and the packaging was great. I appreciated the ease of cancellation as well. They replied to my email within 24 hours and cancelled my subscription without any questions. But, until they increase the value, I will not be returning.
