Unfolded, the card shows some information and description of each item included this month. The products this month were chosen for being best-in-class beauty essentials.

Tarte Maracuja Oil – .23 fl oz, Value $6.50

This is one of Tarte’s classic skin care products. This oil has brightening vitamin C and lots of other antioxidants and fatty acids to nourish and hydrate. It won’t clog your pores, and I found this to absorb quickly. I have dry skin and I love using facial oils, and this is one that I’ve tried many times thanks to subscription boxes! I’m happy to have an extra.

Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Palette- Golden Hour – .05 oz total, Value $5.37

Smashbox has great shadows! I was really happy to see this little shadow duo in my box.

These colors are right up my alley, too! They’re definitely ones I expect from a palette named “Golden Hour,” with this peachy-golden shade (“Turned On”) and a warm, medium bronze (“Psyched”).

Here are the two shadows swatched for you. You can see they have a pretty, satin finish.

philosophy purity – 2 fl oz, Value $6

When I worked at Sephora I realized just how popular this cleanser is! It works great for sensitive skin, and removes makeup as well as cleanses your skin. It definitely leaves my skin feeling clean without stripping my face of its natural oils.

MAC False Lashes Black Mascara – sample, Value $5?

There’s no weight listed on this mini mascara tube, so I’m estimating the value a little. I’d love to see MAC in more subscription boxes, so I’m happy to get this sample from Macy’s!

The brush has short, stiff, fluffy bristles. They coat well but I don’t feel like I get much separation or definition. This is better for volume, I think. I will say the formula is very black. It’s also not a very wet formula so I didn’t experience any clumps and felt I had good control.

Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel – .03 oz, Value $7.20

This is a great brow product! I have tried this before – it has a tiny little mascara-esque wand, and the formula contains microfibers that help look natural and fill your brows.

The brush is tiny, even on the full-size version, so you have good control and precision with the application.

Carolina Herrera Good Girl Eau de Parfum Spray – sample vial (.05), Value $7.65

Because perfume sample vials are so small, and I assume this is considered the bonus item this month, I normally don’t bother with values, but they do list a weight for the sample, so there you go. This perfume is sexy! Or, “evocative,” as is the fancy way to put that. It’s designed to parallel the “beautiful contradictions and ever-present duality of modern women and modern life.” It’s both fresh and dark, with notes including jasmine, cocoa, tonka, almond, coffee, and tuberose.

I like this fragrance. The bottle is cool, too – a super high-heeled stiletto, as you can see in the inside of the card here.

Here I am wearing the shadow and mascara. I am not showcasing the Gimme Brow here, unfortunately, because they sent me the medium shade which is just a little too dark for me, and I didn’t like how it looked.

Macy's Beauty Box August 2017 Makeup and Skincare Beauty Subscription Box

I love these colors with my complexion, and the finish is brightening and pretty. I used the golden peachy shade all over my eyes and blended the bronze in my outer corners and crease. I think this was a nice shadow sampler because you can get a whole look out of it and it offered a nice amount of product!

Verdict: The August Macy’s Beauty Box had some great products in it! I definitely think they did a good job of selecting some cult-favorite products and products that are top sellers of each brand. I’m happy with all my items! The value of all my samples adds up to $30.07, not including the “bonus” perfume sample. I feel like the Macy’s Beauty Box is meant to compete with the $10 beauty boxes like Birchbox, Ipsy, and Play! by Sephora, considering the featured brands and number of samples. Even though it’s $15, it does include a $5 back coupon towards your next beauty purchase in every box, so it kind of levels out to match the $10 price point. Which sort of reminds me of how Birchbox used to give you basically $5 back in store credit for reviewing your samples every month, but perhaps the way Macy’s is doing it is more sustainable for the company. Considering the $10 competition out there, I definitely feel like that $5 back is necessary to include in some way. I still think the $15 price point could make it the first one people consider dropping if they decide to pare down their subscriptions, if they also subscribe to Sephora or Ipsy, etc.

What do you think about the August Macy’s Beauty Box?

  1. Fastest sub and cancel ever. I thought they were kidding with the sneak peek. This box is all kinds of not worth it.

    • I’d say YMMV. I will use every single item from this bag (except possibly the eyeshadow duo because I already have the exact same one, so this one I will probably put up for swap), whereas all of the four Ipsy bags I’ve received so far had only one desirable item each, in some cases because it was the one I requested. So already this is a much better value, at least to me.
My opinion might change if they mess up my bag like they did some others and then refuse to rectify it, but for now I’ll definitely stick around for a bit to see how things go.

      • Agreed! I cancelled after I didn’t get the first bag and reading the comments.

But I got the second bag and love it! I hate getting products I can’t use… cool tones make me look ill! But I love skincare. I’d rather purchase my own colorful makeup and get staple products! Resubbing… this isn’t a bad box IMO.

    • Agreed! I lucked out and cancelled when the first spoilers came out. I got an emall l yesterday saying that my card wasn’t working (because I deleted it😉) so if I update my card I would now get the sept box. Whew.

      • Make sure you update your credit card in the Manage Subscription page.

  2. Got mine yesterday and the gimme brow is dry. Not very excited about my first Macy bag.

    • Anytime something like that is dry, or flaky, mascara even…add just a drop or two of visine, and don’t pump the wand, but put it in and just kinda wiggle it around, and it “fixes” it and is safe to use around eyes….unless you’re allergic to visine..

  3. I subscribed to this a ways back but they never charged me and now I’m glad, this is generic and awful IMO. I went into the website and cancelled, I’m really hoping I don’t get charged for this month’s.

  4. I liked the brands and products included, and bag itself. Loved the mini pallet colors and the brow item.

Would love to see larger samples. (I liked Sephora Play too, but ultimately canceled because of the sample sizes.) The Philosophy size was great, but whenever I see a mini mascara, I find it really aggravating.

I’m willing to stay on board for a few more bags to see how they progress. I’ll get use out of the $5 coupons, too!

  5. I completely agree with the statement about this sub being the first on the chopping block when I decide to decrease my number of subs. I don’t consider this in line with my $15 boxes. It’s closer in line to my $10 boxes. Not overly impressed and the $5 coupon doesn’t matter to me either, I’m certainly not going to be placing monthly orders with them in order to take advantage of it.

  6. The coupons expire in 2 months!?! When my MAC concealer gets low, I might sub for 2 months (if the coupons stack) for $10 off my go-to concealer, otherwise, I’ll stick with Sephora. I love their brands.

  7. This is gonna sound horrible but…this bag sucks.

    • Agree. Macy’s came into the beauty sub field way too late. ipsy and Sephora do this much better. The MAC mascara is the only new thing here. And as for the argument “you get $5 back” – um, no, since you have to spend more money.

  8. Nothing really new or interesting, here. Pretty bag, though. Unless they step it up, Macy’s won’t be getting my money.

  9. i signed up weeks ago. no problems with money avail however subscription still says pending. no confirmation email or anything. whats the deal??

  10. I got my bag Saturday which really impressed me. Not sure why the other subs ship on a slow boat to China, as my dad used to say. I wasn’t wowed by anything but it’s worth $10. After the $5 coupon. I will give it another month and if it’s as blah as this one I will move on.

  11. I’ll personally stick to Sephora Play. I like to shop at Sephora or Nordstrom, so the $5 coupon in this box doesn’t sell the price point for me. I can see how it would attract someone who already shops at Macy’s often and hasn’t had luck with the other $10 boxes.

The Tarte oil and Philosophy cleanser are boring to me, especially considering skin care is booming right now with fun and new products. But at least they are well known brands I guess.

  12. Did anyone else receive theirs with any items missing?? I did not receive the Tarte oil :/
I’m going to email customer service but what can they really do? I fee ripped off.

Not really worth the $$ even with the coupon. My brow gel was either empty or dried out. The items were very small. I’m not very happy. If CS wont help me i’m cancelling for sure.

This is their ‘new’ subscription box, they should make sure everything is great so they dont lose customer right off the bat.

  13. Not bad but not exciting either. I want to try that eyebrow gel.

Purity is pretty bad for skin in case the name misleads anyone into not checking the label 😉

  14. I’m not sure how I feel about this sub…

I was initially confused about what was going on when there was no charge when I signed up and no communication for six weeks (signed up 6/15 next communication was shipping notice in 7/28). I cut them some slack for first box issues but then I was like…wait…this is Macy’s they should have their act together.

I knew I subscribed so I didn’t have any payment issues but I still think they should have charged right away (what company doesn’t want your money right away?).

As for what’s inside the box. I love the brands they sent. I wish that there was a high end lip product in there and not three “eye” products (eye shadow, mascara and brows).

I also wish the bag didn’t have that cheap looking image printed on it.

So, I’m torn… I do lime the brands they sent but I still felt “meh” after looking at this box. Add to that the customer service issues others have had and this sub isn’t sitting well with me…

    • Amazon only charges you when they ship the order. In fact, a lot of companies do that – if anything, it’s a much more reputable practice than charging right away but shipping only six weeks later.

      • Yeah, you’re right about Amazon (and some other companies come to mind) charging when they ship.

I guess I’m so used to when you start a sub getting charged right away and then falling into their typical billing cycle. I think that’s part of the problem here.

Sub became available 6/15. Sends out welcome letter same day you sign up. So that day will vary. But welcome letters says they bill between the 1st and the 10th. But they don’t bill 7/1 – 7/10. I got billed on 7/27 and the box was shipped 7/28. They wouldn’t have waited to bill 8/1 – 8/10 because the boxes were shipped out in July.

So, maybe if they didn’t bill right away then they should have billed 7/1 – 7/10 and billed those subbing after the 10th right away. They also probably should have sent out a heads up e-mail asking new subscribers to check their payment and address info and alerting them if upcoming charge since they didn’t bill by the dates they said they would.

        • It would’ve been nice if they’d given people a heads up that they’d be charged early. I know it would’ve saved me a lot of frustration.

          • EXACTLY!!!!

    • I keep a second calendar for my subscriptionsand mail orders. I write on the side bar all my orders and how much they charge. In highlighter I put a pd for paid and sh for shipped. When I get a shipping date I fill in the name on the actual calendar and then cross it out when it is received. I always subtract the amount immediately from my bank register. I haven’t had issues with forgetting anything yet. So far for August I have 18 expected shipments.

      • Yeah, this is similar to what I do (it helps me balance my “checkbook” and keep track of orders so I get what I paid for); so, I didn’t have any issues.

I still think Macy’s could have communicated a little better and their other customer service issues concerns me…

      • That’s a really good idea, i have so many subscriptions. I need do the same thing.

  15. Ipsy, Sephora Play and Birchbox were awful, at least these samples are high-end brands and seem usable, I hated paying 10.00 for tiny samples you couldnt even get out of the package and smaller than a postage stamp size, not to mention a unwearable lip colors constantly.

    • Agree

  16. Not impressed at all. I’ll stick with my Look Fantastic box at $14.50 a month. No competition there.

    • That’s a good point. The other beauty boxes in the $15 dollar range are Allure and Look Fantastic and those offer more deluxe sizes and even full size sometimes.

      • I agree, this should be compared to Allure at the same price point and Macy’s disappoints in that comparison. The 5$ coupon doesn’t feel like it makes it a 10$ box. I will keep watching the reviews though, since it has potential but I will stick with Allure.

  17. So none of my comments are posted anymore. Thanks MSA. They do not contain profanity, do not speak of other commenters, and are mixed positive and negative reviews. What is the issue? This is the third time in the last month. Am I just going to have to sign up with another email? I would love an answer why my review of this box: “Not as good as Sephora, not worth the money, underwhelmed” or something like that, is not being shown. It has been over an hour and a half since I posted and I’m not a new member.

  18. Macy’s bought Blue Mercury a while ago, and in order to differentiate themselves from their competition, I’m hoping they eventually start to include some samples of the brands sold in Bluemercury stores like Darphin, Indie Lee, M-61, Natura Bisse, Revive, Tammy Fender, etc.

    • Now that would be an awesome direction they could take this box!

  19. Also, Macy’s offers free shipping on online beauty purchases and there are a few products around the 5$ range so you can potentially pick something out without spending more money than you already have. With that being said if someone doesn’t want their 5$ off coupon hit me up!

  20. So, let me tell you my experience so far with this box.

I signed up about a month ago, when the first notice came out. I expected to be billed then, but wasn’t. Thier website states that we will be billed between the 1st and the 10th of the month. It also states that if there is a problem with your credit card or your address, they will notify you in order to get a resolution.

With that being said, they attempted to charge my credit card on july 27th! It did not go through because I don’t get paid until the 30th. I did NOT receive any notice of any problem with the card, only a cancellation notice.

Needless to say, I was livid! I immediately replied to that email to get resolution.

That was almost 2 weeks ago and the 2 replies that I DID get, were just B.S. messages meant to appease me, but did nothing to fix the actual problem. I informed them that this was NOT the way to start a business relationship and that I would inform the public of the way they do business.

So, needless to say, it is more than obvious that they do NOT want my business, so I am happy to join one of the MANY other sub boxes that I don’t have already.

    • They did the exact same thing to me and it’s an awful way to start a sub. It made me more angry that the first two emails completely ignored my issue. So disappointed. But, I’ll look for another box to get my fix. Just not sure which one yet.

      • Well, I am sorry that this happened to you too, but I’m kinda glad I’m not the only one. and You’re exactly right, if it starts out like this from the beginning, I’m afraid to keep them. Bye Felicia! lol

        • My thoughts exactly. I cancelled.

  21. I’m actually not really upset with macys. I signed up for this box as soon as MSA announced it was open. The FAQs list billing as the first week of the month yet they charged me on the 28th. I use a separate card for all my online purchases because I had a fraud issue last year, so I hadn’t deposited my box money yet. So they cancelled my sub immediately. I emailed them explaining they charged me early but they could go ahead and recharge but they said I couldn’t get the August box. So a sub I’d signed up for in June and a box I’d been looking forward to for 2 months wasn’t coming because they’d decided to charge me 5+ days early. Their customer service is horrible. After 3 email responses they still haven’t acknowledged they charge for early even after I attached a screenshot of their billing FAQs. I’m just cancelling it. Hassle right off the bat isn’t a good sign and I think Sephora and ipsy are better anyway.

    • That’s supposed to say “I’m really upset with Macy’s.” Sorry for that confusion. I’m very aggravated.

    • Yep! Exact same thing that happened to me! It was THIER fault, yet we have to pay for THIER mistakes! I am so angry that they just won’t even acknowlege thier error! They don’t even care! I’m spreading the word, ALL over thier social media! People should be warned!

      • Okay, I am sorry, but how was it their fault? If you were the merchant, what would you do? For them to reach out to everybody who bounced a payment and to reprocess the orders with new credit card information would take a lot of additional man-hours.

        • It’s their fault because they charged her several days early. Their billing policy states the first week of the month and they charged her on the 27th.

  22. This was an OK box. I liked that the Purity is such a large sample. It is 2oz. The ones I got from Ipsy & Play! were only 1oz samples. I have never gotten MAC in any sub before so that was good too. The makeup bag is a really nice quality so that is another positive. I also was happy about the tarte & the gimme brow. The $5 coupon does not expire until the end of September so I can use the September & august coupon to get $10 off a purchase. But I still think the monthly price should be $10 or even $12. I am going to keep my sub for a couple more months to see how much I like the next round of products they send before deciding if I want continue subbing.

    • I was wondering if the coupons were stackable since they didn’t say they couldn’t be combined with any other offer, discount, or coupon. Good to know. I’m not subbed right now, but willing to give them a go in a few months, and even though I never shop at Macy’s (unless it’s to get Frango’s) I’ll probably just go buy something every other month to use the coupons.

  23. I am very happy with the brands in the Macy’s box. I think I’m going to cancel Ipsy for awhile. I’ve gotten black eyeliner about 4 months in a row from Ipsy!!

    • Ipsy is making me hate receiving brushes, too – something I used to love and value in the past. But like, seriously, every month?.. Out of all the stuff they could possibly send?

      • Tell them you don’t want brushes?

        • Well, I can’t opt out of everything I don’t want to receive anymore, two categories is very limiting, and as for the profile, they send stuff people have unchecked in their profiles all the time.
I think I’ll just “opt out” of Ipsy altogether in a month or two.

          • I was just going to say…if there’s that many things you want to opt out of, maybe it’s not the subscription for you. But you beat me to it.

          • It depends on the specific item they are sending because it’s often not the category that’s the problem, but the color or the brand (look how many people hate The Balm, for instance). Like this month they are sending me a black eyeliner, which was a color I had specifically unchecked, but I would have been very happy to receive a cobalt blue liquid eyeliner (or a purple or an emerald green one).

Same with brushes – I personally think there can never be too many eyeshadow or foundation brushes, but with any other variety it gets old fast.

So it isn’t really that I am uninterested in so many things, it’s the specific items I get that have been disappointing.
But like I said, I’ll give it a few more months, and if my experience doesn’t improve I’ll cancel.

          • Having said that, it would have been nice to be able to opt out of, like, five categories. I opted out of self-tanning products and dry shampoo when I first subscribed, going in order of uselessness for me personally, but there are a few more categories I can think of.
Or like to be able to opt out of ALL skincare or ALL hair care products – Ipsy doesn’t allow that.

  24. It is like a Sephora box but with the nicer makeup bag and one or two slightly larger samples (like I received the 1 oz Purity from Sephora Play and Macy’s one here is 2 oz and I got an eyeshadow single once in Sephora Play but never an eyeshadow duo like this).

Even with all this and the $5 credit, I still think it is overpriced at $15. I don’t want to have to purchase something every single month.

I’m going to take a wait and see approach with this bag, but not interested right now.

  25. I cancelled after I saw the spoilers. Definitely disappointing.

  26. Nice, but not amazing. Given the competition, Macy’s really needs to step up their strategy if they want to stay in the game.

  27. The samples of Gimme Brow and the MAC mascara were small. I got a bigger sample of Gimme Brow through ipsy!

I’m giving Macy’s another shot but for $15, I expected bigger samples and new products.

  28. I cancelled Ipsy and picked up this box. So tired of black eyeliners and brushes from Ipsy. My box value from Ipsy have also been on the low end. Was very happy to see some high end products in this box!
I don’t agree on the value though. If you look on EBay most of these samples are selling for more.

Can’t wait to see what the future holds fir this box!

    • The value she has listed is wrong. The total value for just the products + the $5.00 coupon is $49.20. Without the coupon added its $44.70. Then the price of the bag is between $5-$10 more. Here is the break down
      Tarte maracuja 7ml is $8. The 15ml is $16
      MAC $5
Smashbox is 8.50-$9. Each color is about $4.50 each
      Purity 2oz is $8. The 3 oz is $11
      Gimme brow $7.20
      Perfume $7.50

      • I would deduct the cost of the perfume sample when you can get those for free all the time.

  29. Does birch box still give points for surveys?

I gor my first box about 3 months ago and got points for each survey, but I haven’t since then. Was this a change? The above blog mentioned that they used to give points?

    • Yes, they don’t give points anymore for reviews. I guess people were getting too many points…i admit I don’t review anymore and I’ve had Birchbox for two years.

  30. I cancelled — easy decision.

  31. Thanks for another amazing makeup review and omg you are totally glowing!

I cancelled. In store they are too focused on the older crowd to even wait on me at the makeup counter…they probably would have been appalled I even wanted to waste their time with a coupon. As for the bag itself, it is missing a full size item or a super luxe sample…and it is the same old stuff most of us have seen before. The way I see it, if you are on a tight budget get Ipsy where you can request one sample a month or Play! where there is usually a new product.

  32. One and done for me. I’ve already cancelled. There are too many other boxes that are doing this better for less.

  33. I unsubscribed as soon as I saw the spoilers. Unfortunately I was still charged and will receive this box. I think it is a pitiful first box. The only saving grace is that they didn’t include a smashbox primer! I can’t use the oil, don’t use black mascara, have several smashbox palettes that I rarely use. Love the purity made simple but have plenty on hand. There is nothing special here and these boxes seem to go downhill after the first month. I can get all the repeats I need from Sephora for $10 a month.

  34. I see promise in this sub for a few reasons. All of the samples are high end brands, not just one or two. The Purity sample is twice the size of the one Play sent me and the two Smashbox eyeshadows that were included look bigger than most of the other eyeshadow samples I have received from other boxes. The other sample sizes are on par with all of the sizes other boxes are sending. And the bag is fabulous which leads me to believe the other bags will be as well. The $5 coupon isn’t something I would end up using but no other box is offering that and I am curious to see if the bonus item will vary from month to month. Overall, I would consider this sub after seeing what the next couple of months will have.

  35. If they weren’t competing with a bunch of companies doing the same exact thing but cheaper this would be cute but for $15 a month they need to throw in something full size or with some wow factor. I’ve gotten free Chanel samples from the counter and those are amazing! Dior, Laure Mercier, Armani… They deal with really high end brands so to see smashbox and tarte is underwhelming.

    • Well, the brands are certainly better than Ofra, or Hikari, or Manna Kadar, or 150 other brands I’ve never heard of (and probably never would have if I didn’t start subscribing to beauty boxes).

I swear if I get another Ofra eyeshadow single, I am gonna scream!

      • Ofra has actually finally made it! Ulta sells them now which makes them legit!

        • Yeah, I saw. 😃

      • I second that!

  36. I did not get this box because I am still trying to use up items from previous beauty boxes but it had two items I just love and that is Philosophy Purity. I will not wash my face with anything else. It is as Haley said a smooth light weight cleanser that does the job without using other makeup removers. The other is the Gimme Brow. Until recently I had more brows than I needed and now they have thinned out. I like this box because of the quality of the items they offer.

    • I got Purity from Play & that was a generous sample/travel size. I love that stuff, you don’t use alot to get rid of everything. It’s great!

  37. Just FYI, I’ve used that Tarte oil before and it broke me out. It’s literally the only thing I’ve ever put on my face that had a reaction (my skin can pretty much handle anything). Bumps, breakouts, just yuck. I’ve tried it a few times and it happens each time.

    • You might already know this, but maracuja oil is sometimes sold under the more common name of passion fruit seed oil. It doesn’t break me out, but figured it might be helpful to know so you can avoid any products that might contain it in the future.

  38. I like the idea of this bag, but I already sub to Ipsy, Play, Allure and Birchbox. I don’t need another sample box. I’ll be keeping an eye on it though.

  39. I am happy that I hold on and did not sign up. Having subs Ipsy, Birchbox, and Sephora, the Macy’s bag is nothing new, I got all these samples before from other subs. $5 credit has no value to me because it means that I have to spend more money to get this $5, and their beauty is not cheap.

  40. My box will be here Wednesday, I think. Tracking hasn’t updated since really early Friday morning and it was still in CA. (where it ships from)

I’m not sure if I’ll keep this or not! I had really thought their first one would have been amazing. While it’s nice, with some great products; the smaller sizes of them AND the higher price might make me lose interest quickly.

Does the coupon have a expiration date? If someone plans on using the coupon every month, I can see it having a better value for them. It’s doubtful I’ll use it much. This bag, itself, is super cute tho!

    • It expires in the last day of the following month (for this first box, it’s September 30)

  41. Fabulous look. Thanks for the review. Excited to get mine.

  42. I either get or have gotten ipsy, birchbox, play by sephora. I have to say Macy’s is killing it. I loved this box. It had high end different products and a variety. I have already used my 5 $ coupon. Keep it up Macy’s! Great review Haley.

  43. I dropped Sephora and picked up Macy’s when they first announced it! I love this first box (the products are great) and look forward to the next!

  44. I think you’re spot on re: the price point. I liked the mix but there wasn’t a “wow” and it was too easy to defect to Boxycharm at $6 more but with some full sized stuff. I think I’ll use the $5 coupon but don’t think I’d do so every month.

  45. I received my order Friday and got two of the Benefit and no MAC. I reached out to customer service who told me they have the right to substitute any product and they would not be sending me the missing mascara. Needless to say this was my first and last Macy’s box.

    • Whoa, you are kidding me! 😱😨
      What are they, Walmart?

      I certainly expected better from Macy’s… 😒

      • I know, I was floored!

    • Wow! With CS like that, they won’t last in the sub world long. We all have had better CS and expect items to be replaced, if dupes are sent or an item is busted OR missing.

    • Wow, I had a blush in a ipsy bag that arrived broken, ipsy sent a second one which also arrived broken. They refunded my bag and was going to send a third one which I politely declined. To do nothing is unacceptable.

  46. I just signed up for this one. I am new to beauty boxes (thank you MSA) so this one was exciting to me because it has well known brands. It’ll be interesting how the next box compares to the other affordable beauty subscriptions. So far I’m happy 🙂

  47. Nice review!

I was really disappointed in this box. The brands are nice, but all of the products were a bust for me. It just doesn’t seem worth the $15. And mine didn’t even come with the promised coupon.

If the coupons were actually included in the boxes and you could stack them to use on future beauty boxes, it might be worth sticking around for a few more months, but I think I’ll be dropping this one quick.

  48. My box didn’t have the folded info card or the coupon. 🙁
I’m glad there is supposed to an info card. My first thought was why can’t they include something that tells you about the products! Other than that I thought it was pretty good, the bag is cute!

  49. Oh, wow, I didn’t realize the value is so low. This bag has some products I definitely want to try (both mascaras and the perfume – I mean, just for comparison, the only item in my Ipsy bag this month that I will actually use is the cleanser), but I’ll give it one more month and if the value doesn’t improve I’ll cancel. Boxycharm provides real makeup, not samples, and I am good on skincare for years.

    • Just wanted to add: they really should have included the full size Smashbox palette if they wanted people to be at least somewhat impressed. There are too many beauty subscriptions that do this better.

  50. Can I still get this box or is it sold out?
