Therabox does the packaging right! The box is adorable and the little details on the inside make this feel like a high-quality subscription.

The Therabox theme for April is “Gratitude” and the happiness activity is a thankful jar. The brochure says you “can rewire your brain for more joy simply by recalling 3 things you’re grateful for everyday.” There’s a lot of research about this practice online but here’s a link to a Harvard Health Publication.

Thankful Jar Activity

The instructions for the thankful jar are to set a regular time daily to reflect at least 3 things for which you are grateful, write those things down on the paper slips provided and drop them in your jar. At the end of the month pour out all the slips of paper “and marvel at the amazing month you had!”

Mindful Mixtures “Peace Out Be Happy” Organic Essential Oil – Value $13.95 (Therabox includes shipping in their values so total price listed is $18)

This essential oil roll on is made with lavender, bergamot and orange oils. It smells wonderful (and yes, is relaxing too). I love that I can just slip it into my purse to use whenever it strikes my fancy.

Rush Candle Company “I Wish I was Surrounded by Roses” All Natural Soy Wax Candle (4 oz.) – Value $5.50 (Therabox includes shipping in their values so total price listed is $11.50)

This smells exactly like the name – very rosy floral. I love soy candles and this one smelled great when I used it. Candles are always welcome items in my boxes!

The Therabox brochure lists the candle as a 4 oz candle but the price in the brochure is for the 8 oz candle. I’ve adjusted the price here according to size but I don’t see a 4 oz. candle on the Rush Candle Company website.

Laura Botanicals “Cozy” Bath Salts (6 oz.) – Value $5.25 (Therabox includes shipping in their values so total price listed is $8)

I couldn’t figure out the scent of this by just smelling it but the brochure says this is a blend of vanilla in jojoba oil, atlas cedarwood oil, Patchouli with a dash of Vanilla Sandalwood oil, mineral rich Dead Sea Salts, Pink Himalayan Salts, and Epsom Salts. Oh, I feel relaxed just reading the description! This was all concocted by Laura who is a registered Aromatherapist studying botanical perfumery and herbalism.

Happsters Greeting Card – Listed Value $3.50 (Therabox includes shipping in their values so total price listed is $6)

I love getting cute cards in boxes. I try to write a little note to people when I’m thinking of them so this card will be put to good use.

CM Armstrong 100% Handmade Rose Cedarwood Clay Soap – Value $6.50 (Therabox includes shipping in their values so total price listed is $9)

This soap is so pretty! This would make a wonderful gift. It’s made from “purified water, saponified oils of olive, coconut oil, sustainable palm oil, sodium hydroxide, canola oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, essential oils, cocoa butter, rose clay, and madder root” so it’s good for your body too.

The Happy Shoppe Stainless Steel Tea Infuser – Value $9.99 (free shipping)

This little house tea infuser is so cute. It certainly is for only one cup of tea but its so adorable that I think it would make a great gift (like all the other items in this box!)

The Happy Shoppe Organic Jasmine Rose Loose Leaf Tea – Value $7.50 (free shipping)

This tea is a beautiful accompaniment to the infuser. It looks so pretty in the glass vial and I really can smell both the jasmine and the rose in it.

Verdict: Therabox is great! Everything was beautifully curated to the theme and is high quality. All the products were new to me and ones that inspire a feeling of relaxation/calmness when used. I think this is such a fun idea for a box and if they continue to send boxes like this one, Therabox should be a hit. Wouldn’t this be a great box for someone who is sick, sad or just needs a little pick me up? I’m certainly going to keep this box in mind the next time I need to send loved ones a little something.

As for the value, there is approximately $52.19 (using product values without shipping) for $34.95 (plus $4.99 shipping) which is pretty good. I’m guessing the activity would add another $5-10 making the value even better.

Do you think of Therabox?

  1. I love the intention of this box. It’s great for everyone. Of course I wish it was not as pricey, as I subscribe to do navy boxes, but I love the idea 😁

  2. Very tacky that they include what shipping on each item would be individually from the maker to boost up the values and then charge shipping on the box. 🙁

  3. I love this box. I signed up from the very beginning and I think it’s an awesome box. It’s actually one of my favorites.

  4. It’s a cute subscription, but I wish there were more activities, and less “things”. You can get soaps and teas in so many other subscriptions, the only unique thing is the activity. Also inflating the prices by including what our (not their) shipping cost would be feels deceiving.

    Great job on the review!

    More activities please!

    • Thanks Lara!

    • Thanks for the feedback Lara! We appreciate it 🙂 we know it may be a bit difficult to read our brochure from the image, but we definitely separate out the shipping cost and list in the brochure the actual cost + actual shipping cost (to you), and in parenthesis next to that we write how much the total would be after adding the two costs up. We definitely believe in transparency! And when vendors offer free shipping, we also list it as actual cost + free shipping. We will try to add more activities in the future!
