SweatyBox is a monthly subscription box containing beauty and fitness essentials. They also have a men’s box with fitness and grooming items.

This month, the items were in an envelope with tissue paper inside instead of the usual box.  Angus had to investigate (haven’t had a good photobomb for awhile anyway).

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This review is of the Women's, $10 a month, box.

Manna Kadar Beauty Paradise Blush, 0.18 oz. - Value $19

Manna Kadar is everywhere in subscription boxes lately. They seem to have a partnership with SweatyBox, too, because this is not the first Manna Kadar item we’ve received. But, the blush arrived in great shape and this color is thankfully not so bright as it looks in the package (I’m pale, so I like lightly-pigmented blushes). It blends well and will get used often!

Here is a swatch of the blush.

Viter Energy in Wintergreen Flavor (20 pieces) – Value $4.99

Each mint has 40 mg of caffeine, which is about the amount in half a cup of coffee. There are also several B vitamins and these are vegan, kosher, and free of gluten, dairy, and soy, so they will work for people with a lot of different dietary restrictions. (Plus they are sugar free!) I have tried these before and I think I prefer this wintergreen flavor to the spearmint. These are going in my desk drawer at work in case I need an afternoon pick-me-up.

W.O.D. Welder Lip Gainz with SPF 15 (0.15 oz) – Value $3.50

Although lip balm with SPF is a great idea in theory, in practice, I can’t use it, because I am sensitive to chemical sunscreens and they cause the skin on my lips to crack and peel. This has oxybenzone (definitely a problem for me) and octinoxate (I seem to be less sensitive to this one) so I will pass it on to someone who can use it. (This contains beeswax so it is not vegan.)

W.O.D. Welder Body Wipes (1 set) – Value $1.19 (buy a 5-pack of sets for $5.95)

Although there are two wipes here, they are meant for one use. One is for basically the waist up and the other is for the waist down. These are for when you are unable to shower after a workout. I have never found myself in that situation since I work out in the basement of my own home, but I am putting these in my purse for future use. It gets hot in Georgia and I have become drenched in sweat after climbing the stairs in my office building when it is too warm. I feel uncomfortable and gross in such situations and I think wipes like these would definitely help!

(I am familiar with this brand from other fitness subscriptions. I am happy to see new-to-me products from W.O.D. Welder instead of the same ones I tend to collect from other boxes!)

Verdict: I calculated a value of $28.68 for the March SweatyBox. This value is comfortably above the cost of the subscription plus shipping. I think the mix of fitness-related and beauty-related items was again pretty good (some of them even kind of cross over into both areas this box covers) and most of the products were new to me, which I also appreciate.

This particular Manna Kadar Paradise blush is everywhere. Everyone I know of who gets a few subs has gotten between 2 and 5 of them in the last 3 months.
