That Daily Deal announced a brand new, low cost, dog box in February - Mini Monthly Mystery Box For Dogs. Plush Puppies 28” Dog Toy – Value $10?
I can find a lot of toys from this brand online but I haven’t been able to locate this particular one. Most of these seem to be selling for around $10 so that’s where I’ll estimate the value. This didn’t last super long (a hole opened up on the side) but Nyx sure had fun destroying it. It is appropriately-sized for a large dog, but it should work for a 50 or 60-pound dog, as well. (We received this same toy in Pet Treater this month.)
Dentley’s Nature’s Chews Dried Lamb Lung Cubes (3 oz) – Value $7?
Although the expiration date for these is in the future, I can’t find any stores currently selling them online. I also notice they do not appear to be made in the USA. In practice, lamb is a good protein for dogs with food allergies or issues, but I would want to do some more investigation before giving them to a pet. (These were in the February Pet Treater box, too.)
Emmy’s Gourmet Canine Creations Seasonal Cookie (three cheese pleaser) – Value $1.35?
I can’t find the St. Patrick’s Day-themed treats on the Emmy’s site, so I’ve linked to a page with a lot of other shapes and used the price for those other shapes. These do have wheat and corn, so be careful if your dog has allergies or food sensitivities. In general, though, I think it is nice to get a seasonal item from a small producer. (We got this same treat from Pet Treater this month.)
Here are some shots of Nyx enjoying the toy!
Verdict: I calculated a value of $18.35 for the March Mini Monthly Mystery Box For Dogs subscription box (large dog version). That is definitely a good value for a $9.99 subscription box and Nyx did enjoy the toy quite a bit (she doesn’t have any idea she’s played with one before). I would say that you are probably better off choosing either this or Pet Treater and not subscribing to both as all of the items this month came in either the February or the March Pet Treater box.
What do you think of the March 2017 Mini Monthly Mystery Box For Dogs? Do you subscribe to any dog or cat boxes?
