That Daily Deal announced a brand new, low cost, dog box in February - Mini Monthly Mystery Box For Dogs. This goes along with their other monthly mystery boxes: Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter and Mini Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter - this one is focused on a lower cost option from their Pet Treater subscription for your pup.

Select from a box for small dogs (0-20 pounds), medium-sized dogs (21-50 pounds), or large dogs (51+ pounds).

My Subscription Addiction paid for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This review is of the Large Dog, $9.99 a month, box. My dog Nyx is a Rottweiler who currently weighs about 86 pounds. (See Eric’s review of the small dog version here.)

Plush Puppies 28” Dog Toy – Value $10?

I can find a lot of toys from this brand online but I haven’t been able to locate this particular one. Most of these seem to be selling for around $10 so that’s where I’ll estimate the value. This didn’t last super long (a hole opened up on the side) but Nyx sure had fun destroying it. It is appropriately-sized for a large dog, but it should work for a 50 or 60-pound dog, as well. (We received this same toy in Pet Treater this month.)

Dentley’s Nature’s Chews Dried Lamb Lung Cubes (3 oz) – Value $7?

Although the expiration date for these is in the future, I can’t find any stores currently selling them online.  I also notice they do not appear to be made in the USA. In practice, lamb is a good protein for dogs with food allergies or issues, but I would want to do some more investigation before giving them to a pet.  (These were in the February Pet Treater box, too.)

Emmy’s Gourmet Canine Creations Seasonal Cookie (three cheese pleaser) – Value $1.35?

I can’t find the St. Patrick’s Day-themed treats on the Emmy’s site, so I’ve linked to a page with a lot of other shapes and used the price for those other shapes. These do have wheat and corn, so be careful if your dog has allergies or food sensitivities. In general, though, I think it is nice to get a seasonal item from a small producer. (We got this same treat from Pet Treater this month.)

Here are some shots of Nyx enjoying the toy!

Verdict: I calculated a value of $18.35 for the March Mini Monthly Mystery Box For Dogs subscription box (large dog version). That is definitely a good value for a $9.99 subscription box and Nyx did enjoy the toy quite a bit (she doesn’t have any idea she’s played with one before). I would say that you are probably better off choosing either this or Pet Treater and not subscribing to both as all of the items this month came in either the February or the March Pet Treater box.

Ha! My miniature pinscher loves toys that size. He drags them around the house. It’s cute! (and pretty funny)

My box was different for large dogs. I got almost the same toy but it is gray. My dog Tank loves it. I got Dakota treats Bully sticks pack of 2 & Hip & Root Organic Tumeric Root supplement 4oz jar. It is orange flake you add to their food. I would have rather gotten the treats you did.

I got the same box for small dogs. I got a different toy though. It’s okay but I like her toy better. My baby would of loved that toy because she loves to pull on the toys. However, my box was definitely worth $10 just because of the huge jar of hip joint organic tumeric and coconut extract. My one baby has joint problems and tumeric is great for it! So, I’m happy with this sub so far!

I got almost the same box as you, except I got a jar of coconut oil instead. I would’ve rather have gotten the treats that Ragan did too.
