Hello Kitty 3D Character Sheet Mask in Anti Wrinkle x2 – Total Listed Value $6
This is apparently called a cellulose sheet mask but it feels like regular cotton fiber to me! The mask material is decent, not stiff unlike some masks with prints on them. It has a good fit too, and smells light and pleasant. My face feels soft, hydrated, and a little plump. Best of all, the essence absorbs quickly after use and leaves no sticky or heavy residue. There may be anti wrinkle effects, but I’m not the ideal person to test out those claims!
Here it is on my face. Honestly the print looks a little odd since my mouth is awkwardly hanging at the bottom. That said, this is one of the less silly designs out there!
Bonvivant Pure Mask Pack in #Sodium Hyaluronate + Lotus x2 – Total Listed Value $2
Bonvivant is an in-house brand from Memebox. The cotton mask contains lotus extract and sodium hyaluronate to restore tired and dry skin. The fit is nice and the material holds lots of watery essence. It has a generic floral fragrance. My face feels very hydrated after use, but I don’t notice any other effects. The leftover essence is slightly sticky after drying down.
Holika Holika Strawberry Pure Essence Mask x2 – Total Value $3.98
The next three cotton masks are all from Holika Holika’s Pure Essence line. The Strawberry mask aims to moisturize dull skin and give you a glowing complexion.
Holika Holika Damask Rose Pure Essence Mask x2 – Total Value $3.98
The Damask Rose mask aims to hydrate dry skin and leave the complexion silky and radiant.
Holika Holika Pearl Pure Essence Mask x2 – Total Value $3.98
The Pearl mask aims to even out and brighten skin tone while revitalizing the complexion.
Overall, the mask fit is average at best. Half of the masks look like they’ve been forcibly stretched out before being packaged, leaving large gaping eye and mouth holes. The other half look fine and have normal sized holes. It looks like Holika Holika does not have a good quality assurance department…
All the masks hold runny gel-like essence and they have a pleasant fragrance that disappears after several minutes. After use, the essence absorbs quickly when patted into the skin. For me, the essence leaves a slightly tacky residue. However, according to my boyfriend, who participated in my mini masking party, the essence does not feel sticky at all. This just goes to show that a product won’t always work the same way for everyone!
23 Years Old Rose Gold 24k Sheet Mask x2 – Total Listed Value $12
This is a very strange sheet mask. The cotton fiber material is very dense and thick, and the milky essence is pink. The fit is ok, but I personally prefer thinner masks. The strangest parts about this mask are that it has no mouth hole, a tiny nose hole, and extra material for the neck. After masking, the essence takes a while to absorb completely. It also leaves skin sticky. I slept with the essence on overnight and woke up with my face still sticky. This is unfortunately my least favorite mask of the box.
Bonvivant Botanical Mask Pack Clarifying & Hydrating Rose x2 – Total Value $6
This mask contains damask rose water to hydrate, brighten, and clarify the complexion. The mask is just my style– it is thin, soft, breathable, and holds watery essence. The fit is great and the floral fragrance disappears within a few minutes. There is a very strong cooling sensation that lasts for the duration of my masking– this may be too intense for more sensitive skin. After use, the essence dries down quickly and leaves skin more moisturized and less red than before.
Botanic Farm Rose Natural Energy Mask Sheet x2 – Total Value $4
This cotton mask aims to help prevent sun damage and tighten pores. The mask fit is nice and the holes are well aligned to my face shape. The rose fragrance is a little strong at first but dissipates quickly. Best of all, the runny essence dries down quickly, revealing plump, soft, and satiny (not sticky!) skin.
MD’s Pick Goji Water Rubber Mask – Value $9
This is a rubber or modeling mask. This package comes with everything you need to mix and apply the mask. The larger packet (Step 1) contains a clear, thick gel that acts as the mask base. The consistency is similar to aloe vera gel. The smaller packet (Step 2) contains grapefruit-colored powder that must be mixed into the base to create the paste that goes onto the face. After mixing everything thoroughly with the included spatula, generously slather the pudding onto the face. I’m usually very stingy with my mask applications, but modeling masks require a thick layer so that the mask stays moist the whole time. This way, when it’s time to remove it, the rubbery mask falls off in one fell swoop.
My skin felt hydrated and soothed after use. It even had that radiant and “juicy” look that many Korean beauty fans love. Overall, I love this modeling mask set and I would love to have more in my beauty arsenal.
JAYJUN Rose Blossom Mask x2 – Total Value $6
This is a textured cotton mask with a slight yellow tinge. The mask fit is great! It has a pleasant rose fragrance that disappears minutes into masking. Although thick, the gel essence absorbs quickly and leaves minimal tackiness. My pores appear smaller and my skin looks more radiant immediately after use! Overall, this is a nice mask and I would use this again.
Memebox Fever Frenzy Notebook – Value $5
This is a fun hardcover notebook with cute graphic prints on the front and back of the cover. I love the dopey looking corgi!
It measures 7.5 by 5.25 inches and has a pink elastic band closure and dotted grid pages. The hard cover is stiff and sturdy, the pages are nice, and overall the journal is very well constructed!
Lotte Ghana Milk Chocolate 2.47 oz – Listed Value $2
This chocolate bar is amazing! Lotte is a Korean conglomerate that is known for its candy and confectioneries. I see Lotte branded snacks at my local grocer but haven’t come across Ghana Milk Chocolate before. This chocolate is rich, smooth, creamy, and the perfect amount of sweetness for my tastes.
Lotte Double Dip Strawberry Pepero 1.76 oz – Value $3.60
Pepero is like the Korean version of Pocky. These Strawberry Pepero have double the amount of cream on each stick, hence the name Double Dip. All the sticks were broken when I opened my package, so I couldn’t get a great photo, but they were still delicious. The strawberry cream melts in your mouth while the pretzel stick adds a delightful crunchy texture. I wouldn’t mind having an endless supply of these.
Verdict: This box was a total mask-ravaganza! The total retail value is around $68, which is close to twice the cost of the box. I had so much fun trying all the masks, but my favorite is actually the Memebox notebook. It’s a little ironic considering this is primarily a mask box, but what can I say? That corgi warms my heart.
Unfortunately, this box is sold out, but Memebox introduces new curated boxes often. They’re also known to bring popular boxes back on occasion.
