Stickii-January-2017-0002

The Stickii sticker pack arrived in a bright pink envelope inside a clear plastic envelope with white print. There’s a theme spoiler right on the back of the envelope: January’s theme is “Kawaii Characters.” This is my favorite theme since August’s “Edible” theme – because there’s more Gudetama!

Gudetama Die Cuts

This month’s pack came with a ton translucent die cuts, with my favorite kawaii character on them. Gudetama is the best! I love this lazy egg so much. There are 3 of each of the pictured designs. These die cuts are not adhesive but could easily be secured to paper or photos as an overlay. It’s fun to sprinkle some of these in an envelope with a note as the best confetti ever. The Gudetama with glasses and an edamame bag is my favorite.

Bedtime Rilakkuma Sticker Sheet

Rilakkuma is a long time favorite of mine. I like the lazy characters the best, and this little bear fits that description. The name Rilakkuma actually means “bear in relaxed mood” which is delightful. This sheet features Rilakkuma and his friends, Korilakumma (a mischievous lady bear) and Kiiroitoiri (a yellow bird). Everyone getting ready for bed!

Here’s Rilakkuma enjoying a bedtime snack!

My Melody Puffy Sweets Sticker Sheet

This very pink sheet is filled with puffy stickers depicting My melody and friends with cupcakes, doughnuts, and candy. My Melody is a Sanrio character who has been around since 1975, right after Hello Kitty first appeared. She is good natured and wears the hood her grandmother made for her.

So puffy!

Little Twin Stars Sticker Sheet

Little Twin Stars are the classic Sanrio characters also known as Lala and her younger brother Kiki. I love the pastels used in these stickers paired with the gold foil edges. The stickers are printed on transparent plastic. The Little Twin Stars are featured here with clouds, stars, moons, teddy bears, snacks, and even a unicorn.

Love the fuzzy unicorn ride happening here!

Gudetama Sticker Sheet

Of course, I was delighted to see more Gudetama in this kawaii character themed pack. On this sheet, we see Gudetama being all kinds of different breakfasts from. I’ll always love all depictions of Gudetama covering himself up with bacon to go back to sleep. The fruit covered pancake snack definitely makes me crave pancakes.

So lazy, so cute.

Sumikkogurashi Sticker Sheet

This adorable sheet of stickers is full of Sumikkogurashi characters. These are San-x characters who are very shy and like to hide in corners. There is a polar bear, a penguin, a cat, and a pork cutlet. The strangeness of San-x characters makes me very happy. Among the characters on this sheet are many cute things like books, coffee mugs, and a dust ball. The stickers are decorated with gold foil elements.

Sharing tunes!

Rilakkuma Desk Accessories Sticker Sheet

This is such a cute sheet! The sheet features Rilakkuma hanging out with things you’d find on a desk like a phone, camera, binder clips, paper clips, and even a pair of glasses. I love the idea of pairing such a cute character with ordinary objects. As a desk accessory enthusiast, I really enjoyed these!

Stickii-January-2017-0016

Love those binder clips and inkwells!

Verdict: I really loved this month’s theme. I was very familiar with all of the Sanrio characters but got to learn about the San-x characters which were new to me. Kawaii characters are so much fun because each has its own personality, likes, and dislikes. Again this month, the curation was spot-on. This is a great $10 subscription, I highly recommend it!

  1. I love this sub!! This is my first month I’m signed up for the Cute pack. I got a different set of stickers then you. The only same ones were the egg & teddy bear sheets. For ten buck a month for an envelope filled with cuteness why not 🙂

    • So glad you love it, it’s one of my favs too! I agree, $10 is a great price for all the cuteness.

  2. I get the Retro pack and I love it. I receive stickers I could never find at any stationery store near me. I was a little bummed when they said they would no longer be sending out washi tape!

  3. Emily, those die cuts are all stickers. I thought the same thing when I started this sub, but they are. You just have to try a little harder to peel them apart.

    • You’re so right! Thank you!

  4. I love this sub! I usually get the cute pack but switched to retro for the bird theme this month=)

    • I agree. This is a super cute monthly. If they have a sale soon I will totally sign up.
