People are so upset cause they didn’t get the perfume…. I bet the people who got the perfume are afraid to comment lol. Look at it this way people. At least they gave a perfume to some people AT ALL! They could have just skipped the hassle and money of adding this to the box.
Its December which is the best and most competitive time of year for selling products. Its obvious that if you got this perfume in the box, its a good deal/value. It gets people to BUY NOW instead of later. And hey, if you’re impressed with the box you are much more likely to keep the subscription. Just because you’ve been subscribed for 6 more months than another person doesn’t mean you are a higher valued customer. I think if people have been there since the beginning they send out a nice gift every anniversary but other than that its no different to them.
You really can’t be mad at a company for doing their job. This was a great tactic to bring in new subscribers. They made it exclusive which motivated people to buy. You’re money is the same as new subscribers but the difference is you’re a guaranteed payment each month. New comers aren’t. If you feel like Glossybox or any other box is not treating you the way you want to be treated then unsubscribe. Seriously, if anything in the world will make them change its that unsubscribe button. You think they’re gonna read your comment and send you something shiny because you feel like you’re entitled to an exclusive offer? No. But if everyone is this upset, unsubscribe first, send an email directly to them. They are obviously gonna find out what’s wrong and fix it, if the majority of their customers unsubscribe in a matter of ONE month.
Don’t be mad at a company for trying to make money during December. That’s literally ALL you are mad about. If you have legitimate issues then unsubscribe.

OR here’s a THOUGHT. If you already KNOW that you enjoy the perfume, GO BUY THE FULL SIZE!!!! Even a travel size!!!! Gosh its like two kids debating over the last cookie with mom. Like, “I was born first so I should get the cookie!!”

I find glossybox frustrating for a number of reasons, not just the variation inequality. It’s not so easy as just clicking an “unsubscribe” button either, since it’s impossible to unsubscribe to a pre-paid subscription of any length.

But hey, thanks for the attempt to invalidate other subscribers’ opinions and provide misinformation on how they “should” behave. That’s always fun!

Old subscriber, as usual, didnt get the perfume

It’s okay; i won’t be resubscribing. I learned that Glossybox values only their incoming subscribers, and only for their first few months. I’ve dated men like this, and it was a learning experience…I don’t need a subscription box that treats me the same 🙂

I agree with you. Glossybox entices the new customer, promises the world and then treats you like you don’t matter a few months down the road. My December box has less value than my Ipsy bag this month. I have been a full price subscriber with no bonuses or extras and they send me a box of items that would fit in a legal letter size envelope and not the manila envelope the small one. The box itself was the best part but who wants to pay $21 for a box.

I was a regular subscriber (I canceled after the December box shipped, due to product overload) and I pretty much got the box pictured above except I did receive the perfume and did not receive the eye mask/pads.

Was wondering why I didn’t get the perfume! I canceled after this box! Really wanted that perfum, nothing else really I wanted, the rest will be gifted

I’ve been a subscriber for about 6 months and was thinking about canceling anyways but that sinched the deal!

What? They can’t get the fragrance to regular subscribers but guarantee it for new subscriptions? And this is why people cancel their subscriptions. Glossybox this is not the best way to treat loyal customers. Your spoilers show we will get it and then you send up a very tiny sample of something else instead and save the promised spoiler for new sign ups. Bad business practice.

This was my first box and I didn’t receive the perfume, either. Was looking forward to it the most and everything else just left me blah, so that was my fastest sub cancellation ever. I pretty much just did it because I wanted the holiday box and figured I might as well try the sub for essentially $10. But when I compared my paltry offerings to the overflowing promo pictures…definitely not worth the future $20.

I think this same thing happened with the Beauty Fix mystery boxes where CS promised people the December box as their replacement box, but reneged (sp) on that citing they were out of the December boxes. However, I received an email stating the December boxes were now available for purchase (@ $34.95).

I had the same thing happen to me. Did you receive something else? I have yet to receive anything. I just sent them a second e-mail requesting that they honor their word. Haven’t heard back yet.
