The information ZEN BOX sends is super useful and I like that they tell provide source and production information for their oils as this is one of the telltale signs of pure, high quality oils.
Zen Petitgrain Essential Oil – Value $12.99
I’ve never hear of this oil so I’m excited to try something new. Petitgrain is made from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree. It has a very strong woodsy, green scent. It’s definitely different but I think I like it.
ZEN BOX says May Change Oil can be used in the following ways:
- Diffuse it to fight airborne bacteria
- Use it in the bath to fight nervous exhaustion
- To balance oily skin
- To help with gas or nervous stomach
- Antiseptic for a cut
- Antispasmodic for cramps or spasms
- As natural deodorant when added to cream
Zen Star Anise Essential Oil – Value $14.99
I’m in love with black licorice so this is right up my alley. The ZEN BOX information describes this oil as “exotic and medicinal.”
The ZEN BOX information says Star Anise oil can be used in the following ways and more:
- Diffuse or inhale for antibacterial qualities
- Fight bacterial infections
- Insomnia or sleep problems
- Increase libido
- Address yeast
Zen Hair Treatment Essential Oil Blend – Value $12.99
This blend is made to use no the scalp when your hair is damp. It is used to improve, soften and add life to dull dry hair.
Essential Oil Inhaler – Value $8.50
This is the October bonus item. I don’t have one of these yet and have been wanting one so I’m very happy to receive this. My daughter gets car sick so I plan to keep this fueled with peppermint oil. You just add the essential oil drops and inhale.
Verdict: I really enjoy ZEN BOX. I love trying new oils each month and learning about their various uses. The information ZEN BOX sends has been one of the best parts for me. I like reading the history on each oil that is included in the information they send. I always learn something new about the flower or herb and how to use the essential oil.
These oils are not the cheapest you can find but remember that it’s important to buy essential oils from a reputable supplier since they are not regulated. Many cheaper oils are cut with other oils and are not be pure. ZEN BOX says their oils are 100% pure therapeutic quality and are gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC/MS) tested, which is the way essential oils are tested for purity. The tests are conducted by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), a multinational company providing inspection, verification, testing and certification services. I requested to see one of the GC/MS reports and ZEN BOX sent it to me the same day. I’m certainly no expert but at this point I feel comfortable purchasing oils from ZEN BOX.
I’m happy with the value too. I’ve seen cheaper essential oil boxes but I trust the quality of this box and that means a lot. The box costs $39 (you can get it less with the 20ZENIMMUNE coupon) and the products this month add up to $49.47.
