Bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies and toddlers. Their boxes are very customized – specific to the month of your child’s age. Also, they recently began allowing you to “build your own Bluum,” meaning you can even pick what products you’ll receive out of a very wide selection of items (one of my very favorite parts of this subscription!). However, subscribers can still skip choosing their items in order to still be surprised each month.
Normally I receive a customized box based on my preferences and choices for my son, who was born this past September! However, this month I got a box chosen for me with random items, even though I selected my own items. I don’t know how that happened, but I know enough readers have chimed in saying that’s happened to them, too.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
Normally I get a card with my baby’s age on it, but I didn’t get one this month. Maybe this is something they only do up to a year?

Snorg Tees Baby Onesie – Value $16?
This is an odd shirt for my taste, plus it’s too small for my son because he’s well ahead of 12-month clothing even though he’s a year old. It might be a fun thing to put him in around Halloween if it fit. Also, I couldn’t find it for sale online.
KidKusion Door Stop – value: $7.15
This isn’t something I’d pick myself but since I have it, I think I’ll definitely use it. My son has started playing games of opening and closing doors which isn’t so much fun for me. This doorstop will be handy.
Silicone Hashtag Teether – value: $14.99
While this is cute, it seems a little young for my one year old. I don’t think he’ll use it. Also, almost $15 seems like a lot for this.
RePlay Snack Stack – value: $6.99
I have one of these in a different color that I actually use all the time so I’m happy to have an extra. These twist together and I could even actually screw it onto the one I already have to keep them together.
Peek A Boo Moon Board Book – value: $7.99
This is a cute book, and my son loves pointing out the moon in books and real life. He liked reading through this one with me. It’ll be a nice bedtime book, or even for him to “read” in the back of the car.
Here’s a peek inside the book.
Verdict: So, obviously, I don’t have shining things to say this month because I chose my items for September but then received a completely random box. I’ve reached out to customer service and they don’t really know what happened on their end either. I feel like their system must have glitched? I never received an email detailing my items or saying anything I picked was out of stock.
Anyways, so I know I’ll get some use out of a few of the items I sent me, but it’s a disappointing box for my one year old. I’m fortunate to have a couple baby nephews on my husband’s side of the family that I can give the things I won’t use to. The value adds up to $53.44, which isn’t terrible but isn’t great.
What do you think about Bluum? Have you tried their service before?
