Akibento Exclusive Coasters – Value $8?

This is a set of four cork coasters. The info card gives no indication on who the characters are. I think the guy with the spiky hair and glasses might be Vash from Trigun. I’ve mentioned this several times already but I really wish the info card gave me more information about each item.

Attack on Titan Scarf – Value $15?

This is such a cute and practical item. This scarf is made from lightweight fabric that is perfect for autumn. It features chibi versions of Attack on Titan characters like Eren, Titan Eren, and Mikasa.

Fairy Tail Manga Vol. 1 – Value $8.77

I love getting manga! Fairy Tail is a fantasy/action-adventure manga that has been serializing since 2006. Here is the description from Amazon:

Cute girl wizard Lucy wants to join the Fairy Tail, a club for the most powerful wizards. But instead, her ambitions land her in the clutches of a gang of unsavory pirates led by a devious magician. Her only hope is Natsu, a strange boy she happens to meet on her travels. Natsu’s not your typical hero – he gets motion sickness, eats like a pig, and his best friend is a talking cat. With friends like this, is Lucy better off with her enemies?

This is a well-known series but I have yet to read it. I’m glad I now get the chance.

Gin Snapback Hat – Value $10?

This snapback features a small Gintoki Sakata from the sci-fi slash period drama slash comedy series, Gintama. The Japanese character means “silver” since Gintama stands for “silver soul.” I like the simple design on the front.

The underside of the hat features a cool wave design.

Akibento Monthly Pin – Value $1?

This is the Power pin. It features the character Saber from Fate/stay night

Power Shirt – Value $15?

This month’s Power shirt features so many strong characters from various anime and manga. My boyfriend likes the navy blue color as well as the awesome design. I recognize One Punch Man, Gintama, Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, and Trigun. There are several I’m not sure about. Honestly, a quick description from an info card would be great right about now. I’m looking at you, Akibento.

Verdict: In my opinion, this was one of the best Akibento months yet. I can’t believe that they included three apparel items, one manga book, and a home item in one box! My favorite item is the Attack on Titan scarf. I estimate the retail value is about $60, which is twice the cost of the box. However, they need to improve the info card– I would rather not have to guess what these characters or series are each month. Not everyone is versed in every single anime and manga, you know?

What do you think of Akibento?
