The inside of the card provides details about each item and the retail values. I think it’s cool that they use a mark to indicate every item that is also vegan.
Cougar Products Mineral Blush Powder in “Punch” – 7g, value: $19.93
This is a really pretty blush! There’s a lot of product in here, too. This container would last me a super long time. The color is a warm, matte shade that I think would flatter many different complexions.
yourMInerals Setting Powder – value: $21
Setting powder is a product I just don’t feel like my makeup is actually done without! I gently brush it over my face after I’ve done everything else and it just helps to set your makeup, which helps it last all day. This powder gave a matte finish. You can also just use it on clean skin if you don’t wear makeup/aren’t wearing a full-face that day for help with mattifying.
Red Apple Lipstick, in Plum Sexy Crazy - 0.16 oz, value: $23.50
This lipstick is listed in the info booklet as a bonus item this month, FYI. Benevolent Beauty Box has totally made me love this brand. I’ve gotten a few colors via this sub and I’m happy with every one so far. This one, “Plum Sexy Crazy,” is a red/plum color with some multi-dimensional shimmer to it. It’s a shade that would work for any skin tone, and it’s buildable so you can control the intensity/pigment.
Here’s a swatch for you. It’s a very pretty shade and perfect for being a little bolder as we head into Fall without being vampy.
Nvey Eco Eyeshadow, in “Mystique” - .052 oz, value: $17.99
This eyeshadow is a cooler, shimmery brown shade. It has really great pigmentation and blends fabulously! I was really happy with the performance of this.
Bellapierre Vanilla Bean Lip Balm – value: $10
This lip balm smells good and feels fantastic on. I really don’t like lip balms in pots because I don’t like having my fingers in it and with whatever is on my hands ending up on my lips, but I love this formula so much I’m making an exception – I’m keeping it my makeup bag to moisturize my lips while I do my makeup, which means I’m using it fresh from the shower anyway. I love applying a lip balm first thing when I start my makeup because it hydrates and preps my lips for lipstick (my finishing touch)!
Here’s a close up and swatch of the shadow for you.
Manna Kadar Cosmetics Lip Locked Stain, in "Lucky"– 0.18 oz, value: $24
This is a lip primer/gloss/stain all in one. It’s a long-wearing, hydrating formula. The shade Lucky is very wearable – it’s a “nude petal pink.” Here’s a fun tip: for a more matte finish, use your finger to pat on some of the setting powder!
Here, I’m wearing the eyeshadow, setting powder, blush, and Red Apple Lipstick. I like how they sent pretty much a complete look! All of the colors go really well together into one color story.
And a close up!
Eyes: I’m wearing the Envey shadow from this box all over my lid (with some shadows from my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette for the crease and outer corners, plus Blackout in that palette as my eyeliner). I liked a subtler look with this shadow, though the pigmentation is good so you can definitely work it into a bolder or smoky look! My mascara is Benefit’s Roller Lash mascara.
Face: From this box, I’m wearing the Cougar blush and the setting powder. My other face make up includes Stila’s One Step Correct 3-in-1 Primer and Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick.
Lip: For this look I wore the Red Apple lipstick in “Plum Sexy Crazy” that was featured in this box.
Verdict: Benevolent Beauty has definitely become one of my top beauty boxes! The quality and colors of items they send out are always fantastic. Plus, the value has been amazing every time – this month adds up to $116.42 which is fantastic, and right around what I’m used to for this sub. I always find some great new products and know I will use every item.
