EMMA Mascara – value: $19 (my price: $8.77)
I like this mascara, but the brush isn’t my favorite (pic below). I like that it’s made with mineral pigment and has essential oils to condition and help grow your lashes.
Emma Cosmetics Eyeshadow, Wall Street White – value: $19 (my price: $8.31)
This eyeshadow is a pretty, light gold color. I like it for highlighting, too! Great color pick for summer.
Here’s a look at the mascara wand. I like my mascara brushes spiky and great for separating. This doesn’t feel, to me, like it gets my lashes thoroughly or separated, which is a shame because I like the formula otherwise.
Ardency Inn Americana Natural Lip Color Pencil in Houston – value: $23 (my price: $10.62)
This lip pencil is really nice and very hydrating. I wish I could try a different shade, though this one works for me alright. It’s just a little orange on me, and I’d like a pink-ier shade. This is supposed to be a nude/natural looking color and I think it doesn’t quite look natural on me. The formula is fantastic, though (swatch below)
Sugar Eye Told You So! Smudgeproof Eyeliner – value: $18 (My price: $8.31)
This is a great liquid liner! It has great staying power, dries matte, and is very opaque. Plus, I saw no bleeding! Personally, I prefer the liquid liners that are pens (like Stila’s Stay All Day Liners or Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Liners), and this one is the kind where the product is in like a little pot/bottle and the long handle has the applicator tip on the end. I’m not as good at these and I think they provide much less control, but I think this is a good quality one for me to practice with.
Here’s a swatch of the Ardency Inn lip color and the eyeliner.
Here’s my look with the eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, and lip color!
Verdict: Overall, I liked my June Wantable Makeup box. I like everything (except maybe the mascara wand)! I still think the lip color is a little orangey on me but it’s very hydrating, feels good on, and I think it looks nice with this color eyeshadow. It’s a cute shade for summer, and a color I don’t have yet nor would have picked up for myself. I’m happy with the quality of this month’s items. The value of my items adds up to $79, and I’m happy with that.
