Spunky Pup Alien Flex – Value $8.99

We received this in PawPack this month, too (review coming soon), in a different variety.  I think they’re adorable and Nyx loves them, but they’re not the most durable of toys.  Better for non-heavy-chewers.

Pet Projekt Cozmo (large, green) – Value $12

This is one of the sturdier toys we’ve received from Pet Pack.  Although Nyx has decided she would like to separate the long tubes from the center, she hasn’t yet been successful.

Star, Sun, and Moon Cookies from Good Dog Bakery – Value $4 (?)

These are a cute fit with the space theme from the month.  They arrived a little beat up but were mostly intact (there were some crumbs in the baggie that I didn’t want to get everywhere).  These are made in Michigan with locally-sourced ingredients, when possible.  (As an aside, if you want to start a dog bakery, please don’t call it “Good Dog Bakery.”  Because there are a LOT of businesses with the same name.  I took the price from similar cookies on the site listed on the label.)

Whole Life Originals Pure Beef Liver (1.5 oz) – Value $5.39

Nyx has, strangely enough, done well with beef in the past.  We are adjusting her medication at the moment but once I am sure she’s stable, she will get to try this.  (I am actually re-potty training her right now – there have been some issues – and if these don’t upset her tummy, they may be a good training treat since they’re single ingredient and all.)

Here are a couple of shots of Nyx with the toy.

And here is what the toy looked like 2-3 minutes after I gave it to Nyx…

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $30.38 for the May 2016 PetPack for dogs.  That’s a few dollars under the cost of the subscription plus shipping.  The items were all great choices and the toys, especially, fit the outer space theme.  I think I would just really like to see at least one additional item to round out the value of the box in future months.
