Birchbox has recently released some new collections. This one is their Frizz Fighters Kit. I live in Georgia and it is summer so it is humid. Frizz is my constant companion. (Note: This was released about a day before the changes to the points system. Full disclosure: I am no longer a Birchbox subscriber.)
My Subscription Addiction paid for this collection. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

There was a typical Birchbox information card included with this collection.
Phyto Huile Supreme (1 fl oz) – Value $11.76
This is a generous size and will last a long time. It has a nice sprayer on it, too, but I learned the hard way that I should spray oil into my hands instead of directly on my hair (got way too much, looked oily all day). It is nice as a finishing touch to smooth out dry hair before I leave the house in the morning and reminds me a bit of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse.
Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream (1 fl oz) – Value $4.63
I think this was my favorite item from the box. I combed it through wet hair and let it air dry. The next morning, my hair was really soft and smooth. It is a decent detangler, as well. I would buy this in full size.
Obliphica Professional Seaberry Serum (0.5 fl oz) – Value $8.64
This will last a long time, as well. I find that products like this serve me best if I apply a few pumps near my roots while my hair is still wet. It helps keep flyaways down on top of my head and keeps my hair from drying out.
Oribe Supershine Nourishing Cream (0.5 fl oz) – Value $4.90
I got this in my monthly Birchbox for June, as well. It does not work quite as well for me as the Living Proof product, but I’m going to change up how I use it a few different ways and see if I can improve things.
Davines Love Smoothing Shampoo (2.5 fl oz) – Value $7.40
Davines Love Smoothing Conditioner (0.4 fl oz) – Value $1.18
While I do appreciate getting both the shampoo and conditioner to try, I really wish there had been a larger container of the conditioner. When it comes to fighting frizz, I find conditioner much more effective than shampoo. Also, because my hair is so long, this was only a one-use foil for me. This had a pleasant but somewhat powdery fragrance. I think I am more a fan of the Davines Oi Conditioner for my own hair issues, though.
Since I ordered more than $35 of products, I also added a Mystery Sample Pack to my cart. It had Harvey Prince Hello body cream (which I have received in mystery sample packs about 1,000 times already, but at least I like it more than the perfume of the same name) and Oribe Shampoo and Conditioner for Moisture and Control foils.
Verdict: This collection has a retail value of approximately $38.51, so about double the cost of the collection. I liked almost everything, though I wish there would’ve been a deluxe sample of the conditioner instead of just a foil (would’ve paid a couple extra bucks for it, honestly). I love the Living Proof cream, especially, and will be buying that in full size. As of the time I am writing this review, this collection is still available.
