Skawa Coconut Dragees

The coconut flavor was definitely strong with these dragees, so if coconut isn't your thing, these probably won't be either.  The coconut filling was covered with smooth chocolate, so the best comparison taste wise is probably an Almond Joy.

Honey Linzer Sho-Key

This is two cake like cookies with a honey filling sandwiched between, and then covered in chocolate.  I would compare this to the quality of Little Debbie Cakes in the States, as that's what it is most similar to.  It's much like a moon pie, just substitute the marshmallow filling for something similar to honey frosting.  I liked it!

Dobrogea Eugenia Junior Honey Sandwich Cookies

I liked these a lot!  The cookie on either side is not too sweet, which is a nice foil for the inside, sweet cream filling.

Fujiya Fruit Lollipops

The little ones I gave these lollipops to enjoyed them!  I am not a sucker person, so I didn't waste them on myself.  It looks like I received honeydew and grape flavors; I've never seen honeydew lollipops before!

Soletti Maxi Sticks

These are good, basic pretzel sticks.  There's not much to be said about pretzels - they're nice and salty as they should be, with a good crunch!

OLZA Prince Polo Hazelnut XXL Milk Chocolate Bar

This was really good.  It is quite similar to a hazelnut KitKat in texture, and the flavor was great.  This is a pretty big candy bar - I couldn't eat all of it at once.

Verdict:  This is a really fun, international snack box, for a reasonable price. I do wish that there was more of a focus on telling you what you're receiving.  Last month, I received an email from the company with a list of items I could receive (some of which I didn't receive, and I received others that weren't on the list), and there was a little note inside with a webpage to go to, where all of the items that were emailed to me could be found.  This month, I didn't receive an email (I even checked my spam), and there was no note inside.

Aside from that small complaint, I have enjoyed my BoCandy boxes, and I think they're a nice, cheaper alternative to MunchPak or Treats!

As far as value goes, this one needs to be determined on a case-by-case basis, for you personally.  Since the treats are from all over, and aren't necessarily accessible in the States, the values aren't readily available.  I think if you would pay $2.50 per item (I'm counting the suckers as 1 item here), this box might be for you!

Have you tried BoCandy yet?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Thanks for another honest and straightforward Bekki review! Kinda sad….I look at a discount code like FALL which says they don’t even bother updating codes two seasons ago, along with expiring stock, duplicate items and no notes or idea where the items are from or an inventory list.. Looks like they are either not trying or ready to fade away? I have Universal Yums, Graze and Yummy Bazaar and all are a delight because they are fresh, interesting and a great way to try new stuff. In the competitive world of Subscription food boxes, ya gotta work!

I’m nearing the end of a one year sub and will not be renewing. I used to really look forward to getting this box, but I don’t like the changes they’ve made recently. The amount of non-candy snacks has increased and there has been a tremendous amount of duplication in recent months. Given that one of the items has a June expiration date, I’d suspect they’re trying to clean out inventory.

They used to include a sheet in the box with a description of the actual items in the box, where it came from, etc., then they switched to the emails to give a description of items you may have received since not everyone gets the same thing every month, but like you I got nothing for May.

Hmm. Looks more like BoSnacks than BoCandy.
