Wantable is a monthly subscription service that has 3 different plans: Makeup, Accessories, and Intimates. (Plus a styling service for Fitness wear and clothing similar to Stitch Fix in the try-then-buy model.) It’s one of the pricier subscriptions ($40 a month), but everything they send is full size, and they fully customize the boxes based on your preferences. You also can return individual items from any box for a refund.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Subscription Box: Wantable Makeup
The Cost: $40 a month (keep everything, and get a $4 credit to your next box).
The Products: Makeup, nail polish and tools based on your profile settings.

Here is my invoice. In addition to the retail price of the item, they also include “your price,” which is how much you would get refunded if you wanted to return that item.
You get to take a very detailed survey of what items you love, like and dislike. You won’t receive anything in your dislike list. Here’s how my personal preferences are set up. Also, your stylist can send you notes or respond to comments you’ve added to your profile.
Colorscience Pressed Mineral Eye Shadow Palette in Seductive Smoke – value: $49 (My Price: $19.41)
I was so happy to get an eye palette! There’s 4 shades in this palette. More photos below…
Here are the shadows. The palette comes with a nice mirror that’s the full size of the lid and a dual-ended brush. I like the colors together, I just wish they had more pigment. Swatches at the end of the article.
BellaPierre Gel Eye Liner in Midnight Blue – value: $15 (My price: $5.49)
This eyeliner is nice – it goes on well and has pretty nice pigmentation. The blue is very subtle – it looks very grey swatched.
Doucce Ultra Precision Eyeliner – value: $22 (My Price: $8.71)
I don’t even understand why this eyeliner is called “Ultra Precision.” I was expecting a liquid or some sort of different kind of tip designed specifically for precision. It’s just a normal eyeliner. And the pigmentation is not great. It took me a couple swiped to get an opaque swatch. I’d never pay full price for this liner – if I’m going to go buy a $22 eyeliner, I’ll spend a couple bucks less and buy Urban Decay or Kat Von D and get performance I love.
Bellapierre Mineral Lipstick in Couture – value: $15 (My Price: $5.94)
This lipstick is pretty good. It has great color payoff and it feels moisturizing on my lips. I love that they sent me a berry shade, but I don’t like how the formula is almost chromatic… It’s a pretty berry purple but shimmers blue. Not my style.
Here are swatches of the Lipstick, Bellapierre blue eyeliner, and the Doucce eyeliner (top to bottom).
And here are the swatches of the eyeliners in the palette, from left to right. You can see what I mean about them not being very pigmented.
And here’s a look with the eyeshadow palette, the Bellapierre blue eyeliner, and the lipstick! You can really see in the photo on the right what I mean about how the lipstick shimmers blue.
Verdict: I like my Wantable Makeup box this month alright. I like the palette and the lipstick the best but both have something I’d tweak a bit with them, but that’s okay. I’ve had better boxes, and I’ve had worse. The total value comes out to $101, which I’m happy with.
