My Paper + Pen subscription arrived in a bubble mailing envelope.  All of the items were nicely wrapped in tissue paper when I opened it.

Plan d Check-It Vivid Icon Page Flags - $2.00

These are really cute page flags.  The little icons look like digital pixelated pictures from the not-so-recent past, and they're very vibrant.  They're pretty sticky as well, which is a pretty important thing for page flags. I like these, and will definitely use them while studying.

Notebook - unbranded - $5.00?

This notebook is about 8 x 6, and has unlined pages.  There are 20 pages, and the paper feels pretty high quality.  I tried a few pens out on it, and I didn't see any bleeding.

PP3

Lil Stickers - House Plant stickers - $6.00

These are really cute, hand drawn stickers.  I received 5 of the house plant stickers.  $6.00 for stickers seems to be pretty expensive, but maybe the fact that they're hand drawn adds to the cost?  They're very pretty though, and I like the colors and design.

Stripe 0.5 mm mechanical pencils - $3.37

These are really cute mechanical pencils, and they will come in handy for sure.  The lead writes nicely, and the mechanism to push the lead out seems firm.  I like these, and will definitely use them.

Verdict:  This Paper + Pen subscription comes out to about $16.37, taking into account my estimate for the notebook.  Honestly, I think that's really low for a $20.00 subscription box, especially when $6.00 of that value comes from stickers.  I really hope to see the value of this box come up, because I think it's curated really well, and is a great idea.

With that said, I did enjoy the items I received, and they will all be used.

Have you given Paper + Pen a try yet?  What do you think?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

I’m right there with you guys! Has anyone tried Scribe delivery? I’m scared to get my hopes up but I just signed up. It looks like everything I’ve been looking for…..unless I just jinxed myself!

I am a Scribe delivery subscriber. It’s okay, better than Pen and Paper. No stickers for those who love stickers, but they do delivery quality office supplies. The best I have found is Ipen. Here is the link http://www.ipenstore.com/ipenbox/

I love the stickers, even more so after I visited the Etsy shop and saw the pack opened. $6 for supporting an artist/small business seems reasonable and why I personally like subscription boxes.

Try Ipen subscription box out of Minnesota.

Bummer! I’ve been waiting for a nice stationery/office supply box but this doesn’t seem to be the one. I would love a box that has cute notebooks, notepads (in nice boxes), drawer organizers, desk valets, bookends, pens and pencils, and some nice usable boxed thank you cards and blank cards (I know there as some card sub boxes out there but the cards are all individual and they are SOOOOO specific (and often weird) and on the pricey side). Ideally it would offer some branded products (Kate Spade, Crane, Rifle Paper, Russell+Hazel, Jonathan Adler, Lilly Pulitzer, etc.) and some cute unbranded (like the cute stuff you can find if you dig through the piles at TJ Maxx, Homegoods and Marshalls). I don’t want loads of stickers or scrap booking stuff, just desk/office products. Maybe I’m being too particular and no one else actually wants a box like this, but with ALL the boxes out there I’m surprised this doesn’t exist. I thought Covet Crate was heading in that direction but that one seems to have strayed a bit. I would subscribe to my hypothetical box in a millisecond!

Add another person to the subscription list! That’s exactly what I want too.

I would be interested in that sort of box too!

I need it too! Usable but cute or pretty office/desk supplies and paper goods. I’d be in. I even looked at the Elementary box (for teachers) for that purpose but am afraid there’d be too many ‘Well done!’ stickers type things in there. We’ll keep waiting …

I would like your hypothetical box more than this box. Honestly, the value is way too low on this.

OMG! I couldn’t agree with you more! Woman of my heart 😉 if your hypothetical sub box exists, I too would sign up immediately without second thought!

Oh good!!! You just made me feel so happy about my hypothetical sub box…maybe some entrepreneurial phenom will read this and start one. At least they’d have a whopping two subscribers for sure!!! ?
