This is a review of the standard box.

mystery-awesome-mar-info

This is the only literature that arrived in this month’s box. This month’s SUPER box included a GoPro plus loads of extras! Next month, they will be sending out at least one SUPER box containing a Massaging Leather Reclining Chair and Ottoman! How exciting! Subscribers can also add items on from their site for “extreme” discounts.

mystery-awesome-mar-tape

Duck Tape – Value $10.48

I love getting really useful things in subscription boxes, and we go through loads of duct tape in my house! I also love that this print is called “Dill With It.”

mystery-awesome-mar-lunchbox

Walley World Lunch Box – Value $12.99

This is so nostalgic… I loved National Lampoon’s Vacation! This would be totally lost on the kids or their friends, so I’m going to have to come up with a cool use for it myself.

mystery-awesome-mar-booties

Swissco Stress Relief Comfort Booties – Value $12

These booties look amazing! You can freeze or microwave them to apply hot or cold therapy to your feet! We have a long hike planned on Saturday, so I will definitely have a date with these on Saturday night!

mystery-awesome-mar-stache

My Stache Shadow Box Bank – Value $6.99

I couldn’t figure out what this was after I opened it! There’s a slot on the face of it, but I thought, surely this can’t be for money, you can see into it. But it is for money, or whatever you like. It’s cute, but I’m not sure what we will do with it. I also think it’s funny – this is two months in a row we’ve received moustache-themed items in this box! Moustaches are on close-out, so I guess they’re going out of style?

mystery-awesome-mar-outlet

Stanley Outlet Valet 2 – Value $11.17

This gadget converts a regular outlet into an outlet with two USB charging stations as well. That’s super useful! I feel like every day we acquire some new thing that has to be charged via USB.

mystery-awesome-mar-pillow

iPad Wedge Pillow – Value $22.77

This is my favorite item this month! It’s one of those things that you don’t know you need until you have it. I love it! I can use it for my phone or my iPad, and it works great!

mystery-awesome-mar-bowl

Chef’n Herb’n Shears Herb Chopper and Bamboo Bowl Set – Value $8.79

What a great little fresh herb chopping set! It’s cute, too. I can’t wait to try it out!

Verdict: I think I loved this month’s Mystery Box of Awesome even more than last month’s! This is super cool! This box is ideal for people who love complete surprises and deep discounts, and fortunately, I am one of those people! Everything this month was a win for us with the possible exception of the ‘stache box, but the items from this subscription would also make good gifts, too. Of course, the most outstanding feature of this subscription is the VALUE. For $25, I received $85 worth of stuff! That’s fantastic!

What do you think of the Mystery Box of Awesome? What did you get?

  1. I joined in the fun. I also picked up the mini box.

  2. I just received my mini box (the $9.99 one).

    I got….
    1. Chair Mate…plastic table for outdoor chairs. Useless for me but I’m sure I can find someone who wants it.
    2. iWork flashlight set.
    3. Chef 5 Minute Meal

The 2 items will go in my emergency box in case of power outage. I’m kind of excited for the 5 minute meal as it heats itself without power. And I can always use more flashlights.

Nothing amazing but for $10, I’m not disappointed.

  3. I just got my box and I will use about half of the stuff. I guess everyone gets different things. I got a three bottle wine carrier that is my fave item. I also got the dog box but it was just a pet Treater box that I already subscribe to. All in all it was worth the money.

  4. Based on reviews here I decided to try this box as well. I am very happy with the stuff I got. I’ll use everything but the stache box. And since the stache box is getting lots of requests on the swap board, it was perfect.

I probably would have preferred the Stanley outlet for the headlamp but that’s ok. I still feel like I got lots of value for my money.

NOTE: My Beetlejuice box was dented and I wrote the company. They sent me a $5 coupon since they didn’t have any more lunch boxes. Not the perfect solution since I would have like an undented box, but fair enough. 🙂

  5. The necklace/earring set they have for a special today is the same one that was in the December Peaches and Petals box for half the price.

  6. This sounds like a box I would love (as indicated by so many comments). Funny no cosmetics or face care and we are happy as larks. My problem (true with all boxes) is when I see what the blogger got compared to what I receive. Usually mine is not quite as good (or is the grass always greener on the other side).

  7. I got the same booties ( love them)
    , i wedge pillow
and duct tape ( floral) which is useful
    Stach box ( kids like)

Also got ostrich pillow ( so
    comfy)

    Marilyn Monroe lunchbox

    2 Headlamps ( husband liked)
    Pretty decent box

  8. I think that’s supposed to be for cash or whatever else since it says “my stash” lol!

  9. Wow- ! I even like the mustache box! I think I’m going to have to try this one.

  10. My box was similar.

    I received:
    The same:
    foot booties
    Mustache thing
    IPad holder

    Similar:
    Floral duck tape
    Marilyn Monroe Lunch box

    Different:
Ostrich nap pillow in last months review and a pair if headlamps instead of the outlets and herb chopper

When I got the box I was disappointed. I think there’s value there but I don’t swap and I don’t want to throw stuff away or have an extra chore if trying to find a home for the other stuff. Add to that the frequent e-mail and I cancelled my subscription after one month (rare I usually give a company 3 boxes in case I get a random bad one).

    • I got this same box. My duck tape had little dogs and the lunch box was National Lampoon Xmas Vacation.

I was happy with everything except for the lunchbox.

I hope I’ll get the herb chopper next month, I’m not too clear what the outlet valet does.

  11. Sold. This looks like fun!

    • Once you set up an account and order, your account has a suspend button to cancel the box subscription too. I always want to know how to get out of something!

  12. I saw the review last month and I absolutely loved that laptop bag. I decided to subscribe and go for the Deluxe Box at $34.99 for this month and I am elated with my purchase because they mixed in items from last month.

I received the following items in my deluxe box that duplicate those in the Regular March Box reviewed above:
    Duct tape
Metal Lunchbox (my box says California Dreamin’)
    Comfort Booties
    Stanley Outlet Valet
    iPad Wedge Pillow

In addition, I also received the following items in my Deluxe Box:
Striped Laptop Bag (from Feb. Regular Box) MY FAVORITE ITEM!!!
Mini Ostrich Pillow (from Feb. Regular Box)
2-pack Tri-Mode Headlamps (from Feb. Regular Box)
    5-pack HoneyCanDo Vacuum Packs

That was the best $35 I can remember spending on a subscription box!!! I’ll definitely be sticking around for my birthday month!!!

  13. After your review last month I subscribed to their minibox which is $9.99…. I can’t wait for the April box!! My cousin has been subscribing to them for a long time, and sworn by them so between her and your reviews I had to give this a try!!! I am super excited to see what I get!

    • I tried looking for the mini box but could not find it anywhere! How did you sign up for it?

      • When you buy one of their daily deals you get the option for the mini sub. That’s the only way I found it.

  14. I actually got the super box with the go Pro camera and the extras!

    • Wow that’s awesome! Glad to hear someone actually got it!

    • What size box did you sign up for? just curious. So cool that you got it!

      • The regular box for $24.99.
