At The Zoo Wooden Book from Hape – value: $8.50 (found at Amazon)
I’ve received a different book like this from Hape in a Bluum box once, I think. I like them. I think they’re really cute (and durable!).
Wooden Baby Car – value: $9.99?
This toy is interesting – you can squish the pieces together and bend and move the car. Again, that actual act is a little ahead for my son to understand but he still likes playing with it hitting it and stuff!
Chicken Nesting – value: $14.99 (found at Toys R Us)
This toy is supposed to encourage critical thinking, discovery, and imaginative play. I think it’s really cute! They stack either way (on top of each other in a column or hidden under each other). While the stacking/recognizing they’re chickens aspect is still over my 6 month old’s head, he still loves the colors and scratching the pieces and hitting them together, haha. He can also learn object permanence from it, as well!
Here they are shown stacked!
Hape Beaded Raindrops Toy – value: $12.55 (found on Amazon)
This is fun – my son gets mesmerized when I flip it and it makes the noise from all the little balls falling. He also likes hitting it to make it rattle while he’s sitting or on his tummy.
Verdict: Le Bundle has an interesting concept. I like how they really break down what kinds of skills and activities you can do with the toys that are age-appropriate for your kids. However, I don’t think the model is for everyone – if you go with the lower subscription option you pay $14.99 per month for 4 toys to be sent to you every 8 weeks. That’s about $30 for 4 toys. Not a bad price for kids’ toys (especially since I found these to be great quality!) but you do have to return them, so I think you have to find some personal value out of the service itself. That is, getting high-end toys sent to you with a guide about how to constantly help promote your child’s learning, skills, and development. I really enjoyed this bundle, all in all.
