Sweet Spun Sugar Candle – 4 oz, value: ~$5
This candle smells exactly like you’d expect: very sweet and sugary, like cotton candy. It smells great, but it may be a little too sugary for my personal tastes!
Slightly Melted Sugar Scrubs in Orange Creamsicle and Cotton Candy – value: $3.10 together
These smell great, and they seem like they’ll work nicely. They’re little sugar scrub cakes and you just rub them on your wet skin to exfoliate!
Love Birds Salt & Pepper Shakers – value: $1
I know they’re still in the box in this photo, but these shakers are tiny. There’s 2 bird-shaped shakers in that box, and compare the size of that box to the chapstick! (photo of the shakers below)
Lip Smacker Girl Scout Coconut Caramel Stripes Lip Balm – value: $5
This chapstick smells amazing. Subscribers got either gloss or balm, and I’m glad I got the balm. I love Girl Scout cookies (and chapstick!) so I like this.
I left the chapstick by them so you could compare the size of these shakers to it. They’re so small! I can’t see actually using these. I found them online being sold as wedding favors, so maybe that’s why they’re mini? They’re just so impractical.
Cupcakes Canvas Print – value: $12?
This is adorable! I totally want to hang this in my kitchen. I can’t find this exact print online for sale, but I like it. On the info card, this isn’t listed but it says “sweet surprise” that varies from box to box. I don’t know if they were varying prints (although I feel like they’d say “art” or “canvas print” or something generic if that were the case), or completely different items.
Love Themed Throw Pillow – value: $12?
Throw pillows were the spoiler item last month, and you could get one of 3 or 4 designs. I was hoping for one that was a geometric patterned heart, but this one is cute too! One thing I will say that I don’t like, though, is that I thought the fabric would be like linen when it’s actually more burlap-y in person.
Verdict: I’m pretty happy with this Peaches and Petals box. I think they’re doing better with their curation. I know their description on their website says “vintage-modern items,” but I think they’re catching on that a general “lifestyle” box is probably better received. The value adds up to about $38, but a lot of my value was based off of similar products I could find online or educated guesses.
