February's GlossaryBox theme is "Weekend Essentials."
Each month comes with an info card. This month's card listed 3 out of 5 total items; the remaining two were mystery bonus items.
Pieces to Peaces Love Knots in Heather Grey and Sunset Orange - $10 each
I don't usually wear headbands. But when I do, they're funky fashionable like these Love Knots. Both are made of soft stretchy jersey knit and are machine washable. Both colors match my style too-- the Heather Grey pairs with a lot of clothing and Sunset Orange would be perfect for fall styles. All Pieces to Peaces items are handmade by a team of local women in Olympia, WA.
Dermadeli Lavish Lips Collagen Serum - $28.99 (on sale for $14)
This is a lightweight serum that nourishes your lips with all sorts of nutrients and claims to make lips fuller, smoother, and firmer. It has no noticeable scent or taste. The doe foot applicator is also easy to use. I applied this to my lips once in the morning and once before bed. The serum is thin so it dries very quickly and leaves no sticky residue. In fact, when it dries it feels like I put nothing on at all! Afterwards I applied lip products as usual. I have not yet seen or felt any difference but no one should expect miracles in such a short testing period. I do like it enough to continue using though.
LuxePineapple Collection Kohl Eyeliner in Dark Brown - $13
Out of the trio of LuxePineapple Collection brand items, this kohl eyeliner is probably my favorite. I would need eye primer to make it stick around longer but it applies very smoothly and has great pigmentation.
LuxePineapple Collection Luxe Blush in Valentine - $15
This is a soft pinkish, dusty rose-ish colored blush. The card claims it has a subtle pearl finish but it shows up mostly matte on me. It applied easily on my cheeks and looked very natural.
LuxePineapple Collection Luxe Eye Shadow in Charming - $8
This eye shadow is a matte grey. It has good pigmentation and little fallout. Both blush and eyeshadow are labelled cruelty-free.
Swatches from left to right: LuxePineapple eyeshadow in Charming, LuxePineapple blush in Valentine, LuxePineapple kohl eyeliner in Dark Brown, and Dermadeli lip serum.
Verdict: I loved this month's GlossaryBox. The headbands were a treat, the lip serum is pretty awesome, and I really enjoyed the LuxePineapple brand items! The stated retail value of $59 on the card doesn't account for the bonus items. So, total value actually adds up to about $85. That's unbelievable for the cost!
FYI, LuxePineapple is launching a new subscription in April, details to be announced. I am definitely looking forward to it.
