DOTTIE BOX JANUARY 2016 - info

Each box comes with an informational card detailing the featured items.

DOTTIE BOX JANUARY 2016 - items 1

Flutterfly Scrubs Pink Grapefruit Shea Butter Exfoliant – 2 oz, value: $2.5

I don’t know what they base the $15 value of this item on because the shop sells 8 oz scrubs for $10, making this a quarter of the value. That aside, I like this scrub! I feel like I got a nice amount of product and it smells really fresh and citrusy.

DOTTIE BOX JANUARY 2016 - items 2

Ting Lisa Polka Dot Chiffon Scarf – value: $25

The polka dots are cute! Also, the fact that this scarf is made of chiffon means that I can wear it into Spring, too. I like that because I don’t have many Spring-y scarves.

DOTTIE BOX JANUARY 2016 - items 3

Lillian Eve Nail Polish in Mere Mortals - .5 fl oz (Full Size!), value: $12

This polish is a pretty blue shade with a shimmer finish. I like Lillian Eve’s formula! I usually stick to more neutral shades, though, so maybe I’ll swap or gift this.

And here’s a better look at the design.

Verdict: This Dottie Box was okay – kind of underwhelming. There’s nothing I’m particularly excited about, but that’s really my personal tastes. The value adds up to $48.50, which I think is a good value.

In response to nursermk, there was only one coupon and only one possibly inflated value. With that said, I agree that this box was kind of underwhelming. Although I usually enjoy Dottiebox quite a bit, this one just didn’t grab me as much as most of them do.

Paying $26.00 and finding out some of the inclusions are actually just coupons for online items you need to order makes it even more underwhelming. It looks like they inflate the prices a bit, so they will have to add more items or more value to each item and step up their game in this competitive market to make me excited about this subscription.
