Each box comes with a card detailing the items included. (Not every item is listed, so there may be some variation in this box). And on the flipside of the card they give a preview of the theme for next month:

Comic Con Box Subscription Box Review - May 2015 Adventure

Comic Con Box Subscription Box Review - May 2015 Tee

No Strings Tee - Value $12?

This tee is made with 100% pre-shrunk cotton, and exclusive to Comic Con Box.

Comic Con Box Subscription Box Review - May 2015 Cards

Avengers Kree-Skrull War Card Pack - Value $4?

It looks like this card pack is only available for attendees of  Wizard World-sponsored Comic Cons. Here are details on the card pack:

The 10-card packs include nine “The Avengers: Kree-Skrull War” trading cards from Upper Deck and one special promo card. If put together like a puzzle, the first nine cards will form an exact copy of the actual cover of one of the fast-approaching Kree-Skrull War tales being released by Upper Deck via a special Marvel® comic book card product!

Comic Con Box Subscription Box Review - May 2015 Batman

Billionaire Playboys Print - Value $10?

Marvel Secret Wars Comic (Exclusive Variant) - Value $5

Both of these items are exclusive to Comic Con Box. This is our second exclusive variant of the Marvel Secret Wars Comic! (We also received one in Comic Block).

Comic Con Box Subscription Box Review - May 2015 Mug

Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Mug - Value $13

Metal Earth Halo Master Chief Helmet - Value $9

This mug is oversized (20 oz), and both microwave and dishwasher safe. (And I think it might be my husband's favorite item in the box!)

We've never received anything like this metal model kit before in a geek box - it's pretty interesting! (You can see the finished product from Amazon).

Comic Con Box Subscription Box Review - May 2015 Lego

Mustache Friends Plushstache - Value $10

Marvel Smashem - Value $2

The Lego Movie Luggage Tag - Value $5

These items aren't listed on the info card, so I'm guessing they may vary box-to-box. The lego luggage tag is pretty fun - and surprisingly well-made!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $70. I think that's good for the $37 cost. (I did estimate the value of a few of the items though, so my calculations could be a little off). I'm curious to see a few more Comic Con Boxes before I make more of a verdict on this subscription, but so far so good!

What do you think of Comic Con Box?

Would have loved to try this box. Ordered one, then cancelled subscription as I usually do for other services so I only receive the first one. With this service that cancels your order too, so I never received the box or any help once I realized what happened. Pretty lame.

I tried this box this month and I loved it. That mug is heavy! And I lucked out and got a bonus signed item in my box.

Hi , I have a question. My son ordered a box and supposed to be delivered by this week. My question is why they don’t provide us with a tracking number or who is delivering the box?

Due to the Holiday, these did not go out at the usual time. It is my understanding that they will begin shipping tomorrow and you should be getting tracking soon. They just billed my card for this month’s box tonight. Hope this helps.

Like their last one, I love like a quarter of the items to where almost want to buy it, but not enough to justify $38/month. The bottom 5 items account for $40 in value that will all likely sit in a closet untouched somewhere. I’m still wavering though.

Interesting box, thanks for reviewing it!

I think the metal model kit must be the new thing because my husband picked up a few of these at Disneyland that are Star Wars themed lately. I hadn’t seen them before a couple months ago.
