Geek Me Box Subscription Review - September 2014 Box

Geek Me Box is a relatively new subscription box in the geek genre. (My husband loves these boxes so we've been subscribing to everyone we can find that ships to the US!)

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Geek Me Box Subscription Review - September 2014 Info

This box came with a pretty basic info card that lists the items - there is one exciting part of the card though.. October will be "Funkoween!"

Geek Me Box Subscription Review - September 2014 Deadpool

DeadPool Bust Bank - Retail Value $20 (On sale on Amazon for $13.50)

This was a great piece to see when we opened the box - it's now on my husband's desk!

Geek Me Box Subscription Review - September 2014 Shirt

Metroid T-Shirt - Value $18?

This shirt will probably be gifted or swapped - it wasn't something my husband is a fan of.

Geek Me Box Subscription Review - September 2014 Adventure Time

Adventure Time Collector Tin & Creative Activity Set - Retail Value $29 (On sale on Amazon for $19.50)

The value of this tin set seems a little inflated to me, but it doesn't matter because my husband loves Adventure Time - this is another "win" item!

Geek Me Box Subscription Review - September 2014 Loki

Avengers Grab Zags Blind Bag - Value $3.50

SpongeBob Krabby Pattie Candy - Value $1

I was happy to see our mystery bind bag figure was Loki - but just a warning, this figure has a very strong glue/chemical smell.

Verdict: This was our first Geek Me Box, and it was a hit! We paid $30 for this box and received about $55 worth of items (and that's counting the sale prices). And with the exception of the shirt (and the krabby patties), everything was a hit!

What do you think of Geek Me Box?

I showed my teen the review which he promptly ordered the bank off of Amazon. He loved the first box, but I am not willing to pay for a bunch of gamer boxes. He declined to continue because they were not going to do themes anymore. Funkoween sounds interesting, but I reminded him he needs to pay. So right now it looks like Nerd Block Marvel vs DC is the box he wants for October. He loves boxes that have Zelda and Marvel items in it.
