Walmart Beauty Box Subscription Review – Fall 2014
The Walmart Beauty Box is a new quarterly subscription box from Walmart. For the first week or so the checkout wasn’t secure, but they’ve now fixed that. I had a few review requests for this box so I signed up (and I signed up for the Baby Box too in case you’re curious about what’s in that box. Review coming soon!)
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Box: Walmart Beauty Box
The Cost: $5 (ships once a season)
The Products: Beauty samples from brands carried by Walmart. (I’m guessing coupons too).
Ships to: US only
Delivered via: USPS
L’Oreal Glossy Balm in Petite Plum – FULL SIZE! Value $7
CoverGirl Glossy Days Glosstinis Nail Polish in Get Glowing – 3.5 ml – Value $3
Dove Pure Care Dry Oil – .4 oz Value $1
This Glossy Balm goes on relatively sheer, but you can easily build color. It has a nice glossy sheen to it too. This Glossy Days nail polish mini is cute, but the color doesn’t feel appropriate for fall.
Dove Advanced Hair Series Oxygen Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner – 1 oz each Value $1 total
Secret Clinical Strength Clear Gel – FULL SIZE! Value $7.50
Full size deodorants are pretty rare in subscription boxes, but always come in handy, so I was very happy to find this in the first box!
In addition to the samples, there were a few foil packets (Loreal Youth Code Pore Vanisher and Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Makeup), and a sample vial of Nicki Minaj Pink Friday perfume. Surprisingly there weren’t lots of coupons with this box – just one for Neutrogena makeup.
Verdict: This box cost me $5, and I got about $20 worth of items. Considering it’s only $5 a box and only ships 4 times a quarter, this is a pretty cheap way to get into beauty subscription boxes if you are OK with drugstore beauty brands. The value is definitely there!
