These Iced Tea Mocktails Are Making Dry January Easier Than Ever—Here’s How

Ah, January—my least favorite month of the year. Not only is the weather dry and dreary after all the holiday magic has disappeared, but so is my wine rack. And that’s thanks to Dry January—something I’ve attempted year after year to no avail.

I’m your classic social drinker, so it’s hard to resist ordering a glass of vino when I’m out with friends who like to keep the pour flowing. Sometimes, it even feels like second nature to reach for a glass after a stressful work day.

Not anymore, though. I know I’m only a few days into January, but this year, I’m armed with something new: iced tea mocktails from Art of Tea. They make crushing Dry January easier than ever. Here’s how:

Art of Tea's flavors will make you forget about cocktails

Art of Tea has so many flavors of iced tea that you’ll seriously forget you’re not drinking alcohol. From Blue Pineapple, Summer Peach, and Meyer Lemon, to Passionfruit Jasmine, Green Pomegranate, and Earl Grey Creme, there’s something for everyone.

My personal favorite is the Hibiscus Cooler. It’s a refreshing blend of guayusa and hibiscus flowers with lingering notes of lemongrass—all sweetened by fresh stevia leaves. As someone who craves fruity and tart white wines, this is the perfect substitute! It makes me feel like all I’ve done is trade in wine grapes for tea leaves.

But if botanicals aren’t your thing, they also have black teas that are perfect for pairing with orange juice and a touch of Madagascar vanilla. It’s a sophisticated twist and unlike any cocktail you’ve ever tasted.

Who said mocktails have to be boring?

You only need 1-3 ingredients to replicate the drinks you love

One of the reasons I couldn’t stick with mocktails in the past was that they typically require a lot of ingredients and finesse that only bartenders have. It’s not like that with tea.

Art of Tea’s iced tea flavors come in convenient biodegradable pouches, so all you have to do is drop one pouch into a 2-quart pitcher of water, add ice and your fav mixer (mine is lemonade), and you have a delicious mocktail!

I can’t even begin to tell you how many Arnold Palmers I’ve made so far. And if I’m feeling really fancy, I’ll garnish it with a citrus slice or sparkling water. It’s that easy. 🍋

You’ll spend way less than you would at a bar

My wallet typically feels light come January from all the holiday spending, so I appreciate that I can get four pouches of iced tea for only $11. Each pouch is combined with two quarts of water, so you’re getting about eight cups per pouch. AKA: about $2.90 per drink.

That’s less than the cheapest wine I can stomach from the corner store or the least expensive cocktail from the bar. Plus, Art of Tea has a rewards program where earned points can be used for future discounts and free products, and a referral program where you can give $20 to a new customer and get $20 in exchange for every successful referral.

My friends and family are just as hooked as I am!

Dry January, Dry February—this iced tea is so good, I’m not stopping

My cabinet is stocked with as many flavors of iced tea pouches I could get without going overboard, and they’ve been making Dry January so easy, refreshing, and delicious. So much so that I don’t see the point in stopping once the month is over.

Apart from how good they taste, I love the packaging (super aesthetic and sustainable), and that all of the teas are blended and packed by hand. Dry January is an absolute breeze this year, so give it a try with iced tea mocktails.
