We now have some February 2022 Bespoke Post spoilers.

Bespoke Post offers high-quality lifestyle products from up-and-coming brands. For $49 per month, each box promises at least $70 in retail value with items ranging from outdoor gear, barware, home, and kitchen goods, clothing, and more.

Unlike most subscription boxes, you get to preview your Bespoke Post box before it ships and you can easily swap for a different box or skip the month for no charge.

February's Boxes include the Smoked Box and the Airtight Box.

Global Box: Smoked

To mix up something really special, you've got to play with fire. It's something we've noticed in our favorite bars across the country: smoked cocktails. The woodsy note lends a rich complexity to old standbys and allows for all kinds of new experimentation.

The box includes a Cocktail Smoking & Infusion Kit (that can be used on meats, cheeses and more!) and hickory chips.

Cocktail Smoking & Infusion Kit

This simple set allows you to infuse cocktails (or steaks, cheese and more) with rich, smoky flavor. All you’ve got to do is set some wood chips on the base, toast them with your torch until they start to smoke, then cover it all up with the cloche for a minute or two.

As for the torch, just add butane (easy to grab at your local convenience store) and get to firing. When you're not drinking, use it to crisp up the fat caps on a steak, melt cheese over French onion soup, or brûlée your crème.

Set includes:

  • Glass Cloche
  • Oak smoking platform
  • Butane torch with adjustable flame

Marcellin: Premium Hickory Wood Smoking Chips

To help bring your cocktails to life, we’re fixing you up with a jar of hickory wood chips, which’ll impart strong notes of sweet and smoky flavor. You can use these as-is, or customize your smoke by sprinkling in some loose-leaf tea, herbs, or spices.

New Box: Airtight

A vacuum system makes tasks like preserving leftovers, marinating, and sous vide cooking simpler for the everyday chef. With a setup this compact and apartment-friendly, even more so.

This box includes a vacuum pump and a starter kit of three vacuum bags.

Zwilling: Fresh & Save Vacuum Pump

Retail Price: $69

Fresh leftovers for the foreseeable future. Speedy marinades. Sous vide. All things made ridiculously simple, thanks to an effective vacuum-seal system. It’s all possible because of this clever pump. It’s got all the power of the industrial ones, but can fit in a kitchen drawer — courtesy of chef-quality cutlery brand Zwilling.

  • Sucks out excess air with the push of a button (and stops automatically)
  • Freeze liquids before vacuum sealing to avoid leaking into pump
  • Silent and portable
  • Wireless and rechargeable (USB charge cable included)
  • (L) 7.5” x (W) 2” x (D) 2”

Fresh & Save Vacuum Bag Starter Set

This three-pack of dishwasher, microwave, and freezer-safe vacuum bags will get you started, with three different sizes to work with. They’re made to be reused over and over again, with easy-seal zip closures and silicone valves that work seamlessly with the Fresh & Save pump. You can use them for sous vide cooking, marinading (in half the time as a regular zip bag), saving tons of space in the fridge, and keeping food fresh for about five times longer than ordinary reusable containers do.

  • Includes three bags, Small (L) 9.1” x (W) 7.9”, Medium (L) 13.8” x (W) 9.8”, and Large: (L) 19.3” x (W) 11.8”
  • Easily link bags with the free ZWILLING Culinary World App via each bag's QR code
  • BPA-free plastic

These are disappointing.

I completely agree — disappointing — but I can’t quite say why. Maybe be because these are “planned use” items? Like, I’d need to prepare in advance to use them both instead of just opening the box and just getting started? I don’t know exactly…

What I want is the stuff I can easily reach for. I love when they have bathroom towels (with add-on options to get 4+) and I’m completely redoing my bar with all their cocktail kits and glasses (also use add-nos for those). I LOVED the Dough box, with all the ingredients to bake bourbon cookies right there (of course I already had bourbon). These aren’t exciting. Both of these boxes look like work and not fun to me. I don’t want more work. 🤷🏼‍♀️
