I asked about why I could not choose a product for the May glam bag. Ipsy said I won’t be able to make a choice for my regular glam bag since I am also getting the glam x bag. I will be able to choose options for the glam x bag on May 2nd, and I also can add any of the the add-ons to my cart.

I researched the PYT palette and the reviews are great, it’s leaping bunny certified, and in recyclable packaging. Plus the formula is made with Vit E and jojoba oil? I think, which is more nourishing to the eye area. Sounded different than any other shadow I’d tried previous, so I chose that. I haven’t gotten their products before, hope it lives up to the reviews! ☺️

I signed back up for GB Plus after a long-ish hiatus. Does anyone know if I get to choose the three items I want on the first month?

I think so, as long as you sign up by the 1st. I always seem to also end up with the month during which I signed up without being able to choose that month. I’m not sure when the cutoff is to only get next month’s.

Several choices that I liked (eyeshadow, kinship spf, cc brush, sol de janeiro) but none that I had to have, so I’m letting ipsy choose for me and we’ll see what happens.

I also grabbed the Balm tinted moisturizer. I really liked the peach blush, as well, but I’m trying to put together car makeup kits and easy foundation stuff is perfect for Those, while I have more that enough blush to put in every kit.

I chose the Complex Culture brush. I wanted several items, but I tried to weigh what I really wanted and what would most likely be available in add ons. Some months it’s easier to predict than others, but this one was tough.
I hope to get a couple things from these items, but I’ve noticed lately that the regular glam bag spoilers are always great, but my actual bags end up being a let down, like with all the chapstick-esque lip balm fillers.

I picked super early and scored Sol de Janiero’s Bum Bum cream!

Unable to choose. 🙁 I have the little “choose now” banner in my glam bag tab, I click on it, I get the pink spinny wheel of death, and then a couple seconds later, it kicks me back to the glam bag tab.
I am guessing this is because I subscribe to all 3 bags, but I skipped the Plus for April, so as far as Ipsy’s system is concerned, it would be my base bag upgraded to X next month instead of my Plus account. However, my Plus is set to unpause, so theoretically I should be getting base and X next month.

Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. I have 2 accounts, and the one with the Glam Bag X I can’t choose, even though it is set up to replace my Plus bag. I may just end up moving my Plus sub to the other account.

That is exactly why we can’t pick (not that I ever do for the reg bag, but I like to look at what’s offered). I had paused Plus for March and April. It will be interesting to see which bag is upgraded for May. My head tells me it “should” still be Plus, but since the reg bag is now showing as the one to upgrade to X, I just don’t know.
I redeemed for that lip mask, with points, a few days ago.

Marion, check your account! It worked right for me, after all! GBP is being upgraded to X, not the regular bag as I was worried about. (after pausing GBP for March and April)

The Ipsy FAQ shows that if both Plus & base subs are active, the Plus will be the upgraded to X one (there’s a color-coded chart & everything, lol).
Of course, Ipsy never makes mistakes or has system glitches. 😉

Forgot to add that I would have chosen the Seraphine Botanicals lip mask or theBalm tinted moisturizer, but Ipsy knows I like those brands and is pretty reliable about sending them to me, so I’m still hopeful, lol.

I was a bit underwhelmed at the choices, this month. I was hoping the Kate Somerville face wash was a choice item. It did not appear on my selection page. So, I went with the full size Seraphine Botanicals lip mask. I love lip masks and it’s a full size item ($25.00 value). I am pleased with my choice.

It was so hard to choose since there wasn’t anything that was super exciting. I finally chose the Seraphine lip mask and it told me that it was sold out (I am already getting it with my points anyway). So I picked the choose for me option which I haven’t done in forever. Very curious to see what they will choose for my bag since they supposedly go by your profile when you don’t choose an item.

I chose the Seraphine Botanicals. Hoping the peach blush will be in add-ons. I really wanted to skip the next few months but realized I have a lot of points expiring soon. In hindsight, I wish I would’ve grabbed the Seraphine Botanicals when it was available in point rewards. Then I could’ve got the blush and called next month my last.

I don’t think I’ll ever fall into the Ipsy trap again. Bunch of products w bad ingredients and mostly no name brands. Other boxes have so much beauty stuff in them don’t really need it.

I would have chosen the Sol De Janiero (I think that I am the only one that likes this scent better than the original) or the Sugar Cosmetics lip crayon in Claire Redfield (love my red lipstick!).
But alas, Klohe Kardashian is curating my bag……….
