I find it interesting that they assign a value of $12.00 to their bag. On the swap site, almost everyone says that the Ipsy bags have “no value.” To me, they are certainly worth *something.” I usually ask for a $3 RV to swap the bags, but even that seems low. I do throw them in as an extra fairly regularly, but I am glad to see that at least some company says, “Yes, our bags are worth something.”

To me personally, I consider the bag as part of the “packaging”, so no there is not really any value to me.

I subscribed to this bag until a friend and I discovered that almost all the products under the company umbrella have ” made in p.r.c.” somewhere on the label.
Might not bother most people, but as a person who had a dog that died from one of China’s ” bad ingredient” debacles, I try very hard not to buy from a company which is almost exclusively ” p.r.c.”

I had a sweet, beautiful cat that died from the tainted food during that time. By the time the story broke she was already very sick. I’m still haunted by the guilt of it, she relied on me and I fed her something that killed her. It still makes me cry when I think of it.

I always forget about this sub and I am not sure why I haven’t tried it yet. I was in love with the January bag, especially the palette, but then I totally forgot to order it lol. This bag is really nice, but I don’t know if I’d use everything. The palette is lovely, but I don’t wear blue or green eyeshadow much. I’d definitely use the highlighter, but not the bronzer. The Creamsicle looks pretty cool though; I love liquid blush!

I’ll have to remember to check it out next month.

I was thinking the same thing- I always forget about this sub, but I generally like all of the products. I think that the bags have been what turned me away most of the time. They are always nice bags but the company logo is overpowering. I understand as far as marketing goes, but I think people would actually use the bags more if the logo had a smaller footprint.

That palette is gorgeous.

Agree. Cutest bags in the business. I wish I was remotely interested in their products, but they just seem cheap.

They’re not cheap. I love the products. Forgot about this when I canceled all makeup subs. Loving this palette!

They aren’t.

So Susan makes the cutest bags. I wish they would edit their brand mark (which they have on every bag) to have a scalloped edge around the rectangle. I think that would make their brand mark so much cuter and more organic looking too, and, it would go better with most of their bags.

Their bags would be so much nicer if their company info was not so evident.

Agreed… On the zipper pull would be much nicer. Pretty bags though….

I really love this sub. The bag and palette are more than worth the cost and everything is Cruelty-Free ◆ Paraben-Free ◆ Vegan ◆ Gluten-Free ◆ Hypoallergenic ◆ Non-Comedogenic.

I like that the products are smaller sizes so you actually have a chance to use up the products. If you are sick of sub boxes in general, this one is a nice change of pace.

I feel like signing up just for this cute bag! So if I sign up today, I’ll get March?

Typically if you sign up any time in the current month you will get that Month’s bag. That’s one of the many things I love about this subscription. They give you plenty of time to see all the spoilers and extra time to decide if you can work it into your budget, drop a gift hint to someone, etc. I can’t say with absolute certainty that it never happens but I can’t recall a month when they sold out unless MAYBE right in the last few days. It’s very easy to subscribe and unsubscribe without any pressure or an excessive number of screens to click through. I’ve been a subscriber off and on for years. My only complaint is that they’re a bit heavy on various products to make you glow or sparkle like the many highlighters be they cream, liquid, or powder, but I can’t fault them for that because those products are extremely popular, especially with their biggest demographic which I imagine is a group I’ve long been disqualified from (I’m approaching 45.) I do wish they would produce a greater number of other facial products like concealer and foundation. It would also be amazing if they were to add a few skincare or makeup/skincare hybrid items. But overall it’s an excellent price in general considering the quality, quantity, and creativity in their products from an ethical business. And there’s always at least one product (often a palette) that’s a value higher (2-3x) than the cost of the subscription.

And if you’re interested in any of their previous monthly bags you can find most at a higher price but still discounted on her site or on Ipsy Shopper. If you sign up for emails you get a small discount and Ipsy’s discount varies so when I want one I just compare the savings for each before I buy.

Dani thank you so much! I love when people with experience share info like this. I really appreciate the time it takes and it is so helpful when considering a new sub. I’m definitely going to look into some of the past bags now and maybe consider subbing. Thank you! 🙂

I just signed up and the website said I was charged, my shipment is being prepared, and that they ship on the 10th of every month. It also stated that my subscription will renew in April, so I would say all signs point to yes you will get the March box. They also had a link after I checked out that you can use to contact customer service and find out exactly when your box ships.
