Am I the only one who hardly ever sees sneaks on my box number? #988?
It’s the last 3 digits of your order number on sephora, right? Or am I getting it wrong lol

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I hope I get the cover fx!! I’ve been wanting to try that.

I’m confused, is the box number the last three digits of the item number and if so, how do you know which box it ? I’m 974 I think…

Reply ButtonReply

Sheila

Yes, last 3 numbers of item number.

Glenna Turney

I’m getting box#598
I am hoping the foundation is a good match. I’ve been happy with most boxes

Reply ButtonReply

Karina

I only like the coverfx enhancer drops. I get so many moisturizers in my ipsy and Sephora box. I also hate getting cleansers because I just don’t use them because I have acne prone skin so I use one that my aesthetician told me to use. I don’t mind primers. I have this foundation and I’m disappointed it’s in the box because I don’t need more.

I’m box 925 (light-medium skin tone, combo, brown eyes)

Reply ButtonReply

Sierra

Does every box get a coverfx drops?

Reply ButtonReply

Jules

we are not sure yet. the only thing confirmed for every box so far is the makeup forever hd foundation

justmissjamey

lol..am i reading this right?! everyone is saying their foundation colors, abc123, and yet i believe it says above that not all boxes will have a foundation. .that the variant above is that some will get at least ONE of the items above, not that everyone will get a foundation sample. .am i correct? ! i was so upset the other month when everyone got kat von d concealer and i sure didnt…lol, ive been wanting to try it for a while, but spent a lot on her liquid lipstick and didnt like it, so would have been nice to even try the formula on that one.

Reply ButtonReply

mimi

Actually it says there’ll be a foundation in each box: “Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation – Featured in each box! (shade will be determined by your profile)”. The rest of the items are the ones that will vary by box,

Reply ButtonReply

Audra

We will all get foundation but there are only 8 boxes, so, 8 different variants of foundation. However, in the video it says there are like 42 shades. So if you don’t get the correct shade for you in the box, she says in the video several times, you can take it to Sephora and they will give you the correct shade for you. I watched the video twice to hear everything after I read the post, lol! Hope that helps.

Please remember that the Sephora stores within JC Penneys are “separate” independent stores and may not honor a swap. I have had trouble with that in the past – I ordered something via Sephora online and needed to return it but the JC Penney/Sephora store declined to exchange or refund me, saying they were not “really” part of Sephora. Very frustrating. I called the main Sephora phone and they confirmed this.

Jessica

Weird that the makeup forever foundation is also in the ipsy bag this month too.looks like I’ll be getting 2. Curious if they send me 2 different colors.

Reply ButtonReply

Tamichiko

I’m getting this foundation in my Ipsy bag this month too, even though I am leery of getting foundations/concealers in my subscription boxes. So I will end up with four of these foundations, as I received two of these in one of my other subscription boxes last month.

Tracey

I’m light skintone in my profile and my box is #743.

Same 🙂

Bethany

I have the same one too

Oh I don’t want anything in this except for the Dr. Brandt primer may be. This is the first time I am feeling like this about the play box. Foundations never match. Skin Laundry always is always there as a sample. And the rest are looking bit boring. Hope mine will have some good variations. Mine is 958.

Reply ButtonReply

J

I’m 958 too
I have tan olive skin combo skin brown eyes and dark hair
I dint know why they bother with foundation it never matches
I’m getting tired of all the skin care stuff every month I’d rather more make up items might cancel after this month too many misses and I am not liking anything in the oct box

Reply ButtonReply

Morgan

There are 9 profile shade options but they say only 8 box varieties. I assume Ebony is going to be the forgotten shade (shame!) Here’s to hoping my shade isn’t too dark this time

Reply ButtonReply

Audra

She says in the video several times that there are like 42 shades of this foundation and if you don’t get the perfect match, you can take out to your Sephora store and they will give you the correct shade for you. Hope that helps! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Jujie

She did say if your box foundation doesn’t match to go into the store and they will give you a SAMPLE. I doubt they will actually exchange your box foundation.

Mel

Might not be, I’m listed as fair and I have box 677 which is what a bunch of people who said they’re porcelain are supposed to get.

Reply ButtonReply

Krystina

me too!

Jess

I’m porcelain with 677 too!

Jennifer

I’m fair with 677

ADRIENNE

Anyone else get 974?

Reply ButtonReply

Savannah

I got 974

Reply ButtonReply

ADRIENNE

How would you describe your skin tone/ complexion? I have a dark brown complexion with a yellow undertone. My skin is extremely oily too.

xunseenx

oh, man. this may be the lest impressive box yet. not excited about this at all. i have *so* many freaking primers. i don’t use primer. and the products are all on the cheap side, or seem to be. i hope there will be better products revealed. and i hope box 677 is an awesome box. spoilers, you disappoint me this month. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Audra

I don’t mind the foundation and primers but I have so many moisturizers and cleaning products! I make my own, so, I prefer make-up! They said in the video each box would get two skin care items. Disappointing! I wanted some colors for fall!

Reply ButtonReply

bethany

I love the skin care items. I cant ever have enough

Amy

I am #677 Porcelain, Green eyes, oily skin, with some redness and sensitive skin concerns. Red hair Thick.

Reply ButtonReply

Jin

I am getting 677. I am fair, normal skin. Brown eyes and brown hair.

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

I’m 743 and have fair freckley skin. This makes me nervous with all the porcelain folks being 677

Janis

#677 – fair, black hair, brown eyes. I actually already use this foundation in R230 (color IQ 1R04).

Reply ButtonReply

jules

That’s my color iq as well but I’m worried that it’s going to be too pink

Ali

677 and porcelain here, too. Wasn’t there a previous month with a color product and it seemed like people who gave light complexions didn’t get it? I’m pretty sure that’s the month we got Dermablend setting powder instead so I’m not complaining. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Reply ButtonReply

Mikayla

I am also 677 and porcelain! Combo skin, lots of concerns checked. Blue eyes, oily blonde color treated hair w lots of concerns.

So excited I’m only seeing people with porcelain in this box and not fair, hopefully I can use the foundation! I used to have myself listed as fair but got samples that were too dark so I switched a couple months ago

Reply ButtonReply

Casey

I’m 677 and medium D:

Britt

I am getting box 677, and I have fair, oily, sensitive skin, dark blue eyes, and wavy, fine, blonde hair.

Reply ButtonReply

clusby

I’m also 677 with ghostly white skin, red hair, blue eyes, oily skin and thin hair. Hopefully the foundation is actually light enough for us ❤️

Reply ButtonReply

Molly

I’m also 677! Porcelain, blue eyes, combo skin, fine/oily red hair. Fingers crossed we get a foundation sample we can actually use!

Reply ButtonReply

Chris

#941 foundation in every box .. what about people that dont wear that stuff ..bummer

Reply ButtonReply

Morgan

Box 966
Deep oily skin
Acne, aging, blackheads, dullness, pores, stretch marks, uneven skin tones

Black, coarse, curly, dry hair (I wish kinky was an option), Dry, damage, thinning, frizz

Brown eyes
Color IQ: 2Y10

Reply ButtonReply

lori

966

Skin tone Deep
Skin type Normal
Skin concerns Aging, Dark Circles, Sun Damage, Uneven Skin Tones
Hair color Black
Hair type Fine, Oily, Straight
Eye color Brown
My Color IQ: 4Y09

I think my complexion is more tan than deep (I’m a Fenty 320), but the Hourglass foundation I got was too light so I changed it (also so I could get deeper color options for lip and cheek). Fingers crossed!

Reply ButtonReply

JR

Same!

Reply ButtonReply

Tamichiko

I’m Box 966 too! But I have combination skin, and neither aging nor dullness are my skin concerns, and my black curly hair is pretty thick, so thinning hair is definately not an issue for me. And I don’t yet have a Color IQ, as I have yet to get matched at a Sephora store, but other than that I’m pretty much the same as you. I bet that the box shown will be the one that we’re getting.

Reply ButtonReply

Morgan

I’m dark but I am tempted to say I’m lighter on my profile because in my August box I got a kat Von d concealerbin #33 which is just a shade too dark and hourglass in golden almond and holy crap was they too dark for me. Shame though because the texture is beautiful.

Morgan

I hope it isn’t that po dark. THe golden almond hourglass foundation was WAY too dark on me in August.

Sara

Team 609
Skin tone Light
Skin type Combination
Skin concerns Aging, Blackheads, Dark Circles, Pores
Hair color Brunette
Hair type Chemically Treated, Fine, Normal, Straight
Hair concerns Color Protection, Damaged, Dandruff, Straightening/Smoothing
Brown eyes

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

743 – not 609… I was looking at the wrong numbers… oopsie!

Reply ButtonReply

Bibi

Sorry, after discovering BOXYCHARM there is no more room for excitement. Not even Sephora play…

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

941, Medium skin, Brown hair/eyes, dry aging skin, straight frizzy hair.

Reply ButtonReply

Granny

941- My box as well! Medium skin bro/bro oily w/straight hair

Reply ButtonReply

Sheila

My box is also 941 and my profile is somewhat similar to yours. I have medium dry skin, with aging concerns. My hair is blonde and eyes are hazel. My hair is normal, but fine. I wonder if the reason for our box numbers is related to our skin tone or other similarities in our profiles.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole Harris

I am 941 as well and light to medium blue eyes and blonde hair…how do we see what our box is going to have?

Jamie

If this is mine, I’m done. What in there is worth getting excited about? Give me something with color!!

Reply ButtonReply

Zoe

Hello, how do you know your box numbers?

Reply ButtonReply

Granny

When you get your shipping confirmation it will be the last 3 digits of your order number.

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

It’s the last 3 of the item number.

Jen

I’ve got a serious thing right now for mixing liquid highlighter into my foundation. Those Cover FX drops… Yes, please!

Reply ButtonReply

jess

the bag this month is ugly, i dont like their bags anyways, they are to cheap made, i have been disapointed with sephora and ipsy the past 2 months.

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

I agree, these bags are a waste of resources to produce when so many of them get directly tossed in the trash and end up in a landfill. Nobody needs these bags or cares about them, so why waste material/energy on their production? I feel the same about Ipsy which I canceled long ago. I kept maybe 3 bags and donated the rest. People subscribe for products, not to stockpile tiny bags. Such a waste!

Reply ButtonReply

Glenna Turney

We have started collecting the bags from Ipsy to put together sanitary needs for the homeless women.
They are perfect for that. Ask around I am sure some where near you will take them.

Kim

I always toss the bags. Except that plastic one we got a few months ago with a snap on it like an envelop. That one is great for keeping small items while traveling. Wish we would get more like that one.

Reply ButtonReply

TrixieB

If you aren’t going to use them, please consider donating. I know they would be perfect for young dancers. Shoes, makeup, elastics, pins.

nancyisshopping

Where can I see the video? It is not available for me from this page….can anyone access it from here?

I LOVE everything in this box! I could do without the Sephora brand samples but I can completely understand the company trying to promote its own products, so an occasional Sephora item isn’t terrible. Otherwise, if all the boxes look close to this I’d be thrilled – a lot of new items and items that haven’t been included in all kinds of boxes already! I hope Sephora keeps up this trend because I was going to cancel my subscription just because I kept getting either samples I already had (or had gotten through sub boxes) or products I already own/use. Really hoping for the best!!
