Have they done advent calendars before? If so, do they normally discount them closer to Christmas? I would love all of these, just not for this price.

Lush doesn’t do any discounts except for the one big sale a year (BOGO starting the day after christmas). So if you wait and are willing to deal with waiting in line (online) or get to the store really quickly (and I believe still wait in line there) the day after Christmas you can take advantage of that sale.
(For example, last year I tried to shop online the day after christmas because my favorite items happen to be winter items, and I had to wait about an hour during checkout on the american site and they were sold out of most of the items I was trying to buy. So I went to the uk online shop and it put me in the wait line where I couldn’t even search through the site for about an hour until it was my turn to shop, but there I was able to get the things I wanted. It’s a good sale and since it’s their only one, people go crazy about it)

Wow, what a complete rip-off!!! Don’t they already make enough money as a company?! The biggest reason I’ll never buy anything from Lush is because their products are grossly overpriced, and it’s beyond unnecessary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They’d still make billions if they lowered the cost of every single product — their business model disgusts me. They clearly take advantage.

Got really excited about this as a gift for my girls… until I saw the price… On a semi-related note, any recommendations for a bath/body/beauty advent calendar for an 8 and 5 year old to share that won’t cost an arm and a leg?

MSA posted about the ASOS MAD Beauty 12-Day calendar on 10/10, and it’s only $17.50. The packaging looks like something that young girls would like, and it includes:

Are they insane? This is something a boyfriend/husband would purchase not realizing the non value. As fun as their products are they use parabens in lots of their products and i’m trying to stay away from them. Hard to do.

This calendar is totally overpriced, I did the math and looked at the items available that you can get and kind of figured it out on the Chris tingle and sleepy because they do not offer a 1.5 oz so I did the math and figure out how much that would be the total of this calendar would be $95.15 if u bought the items separately

They do that because some of the products may sell out and they also just charge more because of the box itself is already wrapped like a gift so that is included in the total price.

I’ve noticed that with their other premade boxes and sets, it’s almost always cheaper to buy everything individually than to buy the box.

I really really really REALLY love Lush, but yeah, they over-charge for their packaging when it comes to gift sets and items like these. If you were to add up the cost of all of these items individually, I doubt they’d come to $100.

Isn’t this more expensive than buying the contents individually? I like Lush but it kills me to pay $7-10 for a bath bomb I could make myself for about $1.50. They aren’t even labor intensive, I can do it and I’m terrible at crafts and things like that.

Pretty pricey for what you get. Would rather get more high end products like L’occitane or Clinique…cheaper too!
