I ended my Birchbox subscription this past November, but still kept my ACE status through 2017. I finally gave in and got the Vogue/Rose box – used TAKE15, the $5, and a mystery sample duo. I spent $52, which still is a little steep for the box imo, but the fact that I’ve been thinking about it for the past 3 weeks and deliberating over getting it at least suggests that I actually wanted it, and it’s not just FOMO or an impulse buy after a blog post.
I’ve been on a kind of journey of late, thinking through desires that are real versus desires created by instagram and blogs.
