I loved having Good Being but I cut back on my subscriptions. FYI- when you sign up you immediately get a box, then your subscription starts the next month. This is how it used to be So you could be charged the first week of June for the June box, which does not ship until the last week of June. In addition to a box for May. It was really confusing. But if you are on a budget getting the two charges so close together can be hard.

I didn’t get a may box and won’t either. I contacted them and apparently they’re now just charging a month ahead for every box… Like what the heck?!

Hi Shelby – I wanted to respond here to try to help clear up any confusion. The timing of our billing has not changed – we have always billed ahead for the next box. The reason we bill a month ahead is because we customize heavily, which means we need to know how many people we are shipping to and who they are ahead of time. It takes quote a long time to aim to customize our boxes – some months, we ship over 200 different product combinations! No easy task 🙂

Our membership cost for new memberships did recently increase to $24.95, however, we do also have a $9.95 option for a smaller box as well as the option to pay $21.95 per box with a pre-paid annual membership. We set forth our entire billing and shipping schedule, which lays out when the first and next box is billed, how to not pay for 2 months before the first one is received and when boxes are shipped based on the join date in our FAQ for all to read before they join – https://support.joingoodbeing.com/hc/en-us/articles/202291220-When-do-boxes-bill-and-ship-

We have the option to place a HOLD on the membership to skip the next month if having 2 months billed close together is less than ideal, or, if you’d prefer to receive one box before being billed for the next, as is also set forth in our FAQ. The membership can also be canceled to prevent the next box from billing as long as it’s done before the 1st of the following month.

They’re now charging a month ahead for every box and not sending the box immediately just so everybody knows the truth and it costs 24.95!!

Okay, this is no longer true. I signed up on May 25th and they charged me for the June box and also wanted to charge me on June 3rd for the July box. When I contacted them, I was told that apparently you have to pay a month ahead for each box with no given reason. So be warned before you sign up and I have the emails to prove what I’m claiming if you’d like to add that to this post, Liz. I think it’s only fair the readers get the full truth of what they’re getting into. Also, the fees went up to $24.95/month.

And it was a big mistake!!! They charge 2 payments for the june box!!! And I have no clue why??

Hi Michelle – I wanted to clarify here that we do not charge twice for the June box. As set forth in our FAQ here: https://support.joingoodbeing.com/hc/en-us/articles/202291220-When-do-boxes-bill-and-ship-, dues are collected when you join for the first box. Member dues are then put on the normal billing schedule, which is between the 2nd-7th of the month each month. So, if you joined at the end of May, you would be billed upon Joining for the June box, then you would be on the normal billing schedule thereafter, which would be June 2-7 for the July box, July 2-7 for the August box, etc. Because we heavily customize and allow members to pick 1-2 items for each box, we have to know how many people we are shipping to and who they are at least 30 days in advance. I hope that makes sense! In order to prevent 2 bills before your first box arrives, we do offer a 1 month HOLD which can skip the next month’s box, or, you can cancel before the 1st of the following month. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have 🙂
