I ordered Beauty and the Beast box and it was just dreadful.

I agree with some others that say it isn’t very creative. I’ve felt this way about many of the past boxes. Like the musicals themed one. There are soooooooo many options and possibilities and the themes are enticing but I’m starting to generally feel let down about what actually comes. It just doesn’t live up to the the theme’s possibilities at all.

MEH. I just got two of their limited edition boxes (Sherlock Holmes and Beauty and the Beast) and I wasn’t impressed. Most of the items aren’t very creative (t-shirt with a quote on it, mug with a quote on it, postcard with a quote on it – ALL IN THE SAME FONT). I love Jane Austen, but this is an easy pass.

I bought this several months ago without seeing anything ahead of time. If I had I would not have bought it. I agree with Taren as to contents and actually thought that would be what I got but alas no.

I LOOOOVE Jane Austin, even visited her family’s home and museum in Bath a few years ago. I was really hoping for some unique items, but a mug, tshirt, bubble bath? The scarf makes no sense, if you wear it you can’t even see the words “pride and prejudice”…..how about a Regency themed pattern/design? Something time period inspired. A quill pen, a ribbon necklace, hat, a fan, a feather pen, hand pressed paper, a copy of one of her short stories or letters….
I could go on and on! Let’s just say, I’ll have to very regretfully pass.

I love Austen, but these are heavily inflated RVs. With shipping, I’d probably be paying around $45. Sad pass.
