  1. Very nice selections and I generally don’t even like gold. A bit out of my price range atm, but everything looks so classy! I will have to keep an eye on this one, and start dropping hints @Xmas time, lol!

    • I can’t wait to see their winter theme box! I’m crossing fingers for some yummy candle or throw blanket and such.

  2. I love this box! It’s been very beautifully curated. I will use everything in the box and usually there is one thing that goes in my re-gift pile. I would have loved the pen, but it’s okay I was not a “lucky one” and I loved the rest of the box!

  3. any chance the one person who got one of the five pens was a yearly subscriber who took a risk with them and subscribed for annual at first box?

    • I got a pen and this was my first box I signed up for!

      • of course. Congrats. It’s nice that you were a “lucky” one 🙂 Now who are the other 4?

    • (Or I’m the commenter below who got one at any rate if you meant that person, I held off on a couple boxes before subscribing so I knew if it was the right lifestyle box for me!)

  4. I have to say, this company has done a terrific job of establishing itself as a standout newbie, which isn’t easy these days. I think this box is terrific. The theme is so thoughtful and so consistent and the items are all so useful! My hat goes off to the folks at Happy Rebel. Well done!

  5. Why is gold so prominent in this? I love the skulls and this theme, but we get gold in every other subscription box. Give me silver or gunmetal for a change. 🙁

  6. It’s a gorgeous box. I own the kate spade version of the stapler and tape – but excited about the scissors! It goes perfectly. The prints are fantastic. My box was delivered and I doubt that I got the pen. But would LOVE it. Hopefully someone will swap.

  7. Unless you live in your desk/office/cubicle, this was an overpriced stationary box, not a lifestyle one.

    • I don’t work in a typical office, but I spend a lot of time at my writing desk at home. I think it definitely is a lifestyle box. Everything from the journal which is beautiful up close, the triptych art prints for hanging up…it just has a cohesive theme. Also, things like the desk set would make a great gift for people 🙂

      • I love this box even though I don’t have a desk right now. Once I get a house in a few years it’ll be nice. I am a little bummed I didn’t get the pen – I wish it could have been a special extra for yearly subscribers because it looks gorgeous and I could have used that now. Congrats to those who got it! I can’t wait to get some lovely frames for the skull prints. I love both gold and silver but I lean toward gold so this was perfect. Can’t wait to see what winter has in store.

  8. I received my box today, and I love everything! The hand-written note welcoming me to Happy Rebel Box was a great personal touch. The items are high quality. They were also able to accommodate my preferences for the notebook and stationary! I’m so happy I signed up!

  9. Oh my goodness! I just opened my box and everything is so, so nice. The quality is outstanding. They were kind enough to accommodate my request of the skull notecards, which are just beautiful. I’m not one to get excited over stationery but they are something to be excited about. This is the push I need to finally get my home office in order. Thrilled with this box!

    • The quality of the cards is amazing. Will be so fun to sit down and write some letters to friends. I love getting real mail 🙂

  10. Just got my box today and it’s so cohesive and perfect and the items all have the great weight and solid value to them for me. It’s literally a full desk makeover that matches for me already, and I love the gold accents!

I also got super amazing lucky and my box had a pen, all I want to do is write all day now!

    • Woo hoo! Congrats!

I’m glad to hear that all the items seem to be quality. Now I just need to decide if the items will stay at my home office or make their way to work. Decisions…decisions…

      • The scissors are so nice and heavy along with the desk set. Picking up some small black frames from Target and it will all go perfectly with my black desk accessories and vintage 40s drafting table desk lamp (it’s a distressed due to age gold color).

I think if people weren’t the type to get excited over school supplies or don’t love stationary I could see why they may not adore the box, but even my nerdy writer friends will love it. It has a sort of office vibe for someone with an interest in curiosities or like myself, majored in Psychology and collect anatomical illustrations including skull diagrams. This is just a notch up quality wise from those 🙂

I honestly cannot wait for a winter theme box from them. It’s going to be epic I bet.

  11. Love this box…can’t wait to see the items in person!! 🙂

  12. I love the cohesiveness of this box! I feel like if it was $75 I would jump on it.

I also think the bonus item is of a price point it should be in every box. Maybe if the pen was guaranteed I would jump on this.

Anyone want things from RZ or Popsugar LE?? Come find me in swaps and lets trade 🙂

    • I can see your point about including pens in all boxes, and I definitely think the value will rise as they have more subscribers and more buying power! Meanwhile, I’m 1000% okay with double value not counting pen for such a well curated box! I’ve been working on making a separate sub box Instagram and this will be perfect to take a shot of my desk and how lovely it will look once I reorganize it and put older cheap desk items into a donate bin for the local hospice charity shop.

I inherited my grandmothers amazing dark wood writing desk with little drawers and it folds over to lock and such…already have an amazing vintage gold lamp with patina and stuff like my phrenology head and a diagram of the brain (neuropsy nerd) and a painting I did of an anatomical heart. It will look perfect once I clean up my general disorganized mess. As a fan of Moleskine notebooks, the quality of the notebook was beautiful. Slightly larger than a standard moleskine, definitely a full size journal! It doesn’t have the elastic and like moleskines have but it’s a wee bit thicker and a little larger in height and width and the pages are gilded along the edge.

I think if we love the curation, and I was sad I missed out on the summer box because that lace kimono was gorgeous for more than summer wear, but that if they get more buying power as they grownIncan easily see the RV going up in general per box. I still think double value on a new box that has unique curation and fits my aesthetic is totally totally worth it, pen or no pen.

      • Thanks for the thoughtful feedback @Kitty! Congrats on the pen!

  13. Well, I feel like they hit their stride. I’ve been watching and hoping for this moment and here we are. The theme is great and the items look good too. I’m glad to see they took the feedback from launch around sophistication and skull imagery and took it to heart. The only miss is the ‘Love’ notebook – the design feels cheesy to me but I know that’s personal – but that will be easy enough to regift. As it happens I need to revamp my desk at home. Going to finally sign up!

    • @Ali, thanks for the kind words! We look forward to having you. If you want to shoot us an email after ordering to let us know you would prefer the skull heart design of the journal over the LOVE design, we will accommodate if at all possible. Right now we have both available!

  14. Well, it’s not that I don’t like these items, but I can’t really use any of it. I’m sad I missed the summer box. This box is just not for me, so I’ll probably be swapping it all.

    • How much for the office supplies? Ie stapler, tape, scissors, and clips?

  15. Love the prints if someone is looking to unload them 🙂
