Birchbox September 2013 Review
The September 2013 Birchbox marks their 3-year anniversary! Here’s to another 3 years (or 30) – I never want my Birchbox subscription to end!
The Box: Birchbox
The Cost: $10 a month (get one month free with an annual subscription)
The Products: Beauty and lifestyle samples selected by the Birchbox team.
Every Birchbox comes with a card detailing the beauty samples included in your box and how to use them. For the September box, some lucky subscribers got cards with 1000 points to spend in the Birchbox shop. I didn’t get a card – did you?
Beauty Protector Shampoo and Conditioner – 1 oz each, Value $5.50 total
This brand is paraben-free, sulfate-free and vegan – plus I love the scent. These will great for travel!
Ruffian Nail Lacquer in Hedge Fund – FULL SIZE! Value $10
This all-in-one moisturizer is supposed to do it all: day/night cream, serum, eye cream, toner, and primer. I just sampled it and like the finish on my skin and the scent, so maybe this will become my go-to travel solution for packing light! (This foil packet has a resealable dispenser, so it’s not just a one time use sample).
GlamNatural Cream Blush – Samples
These blush samples were my “Beauty Extra” for September – so I think that means I can’t complain about the tiny foil packets! I love discovering new natural beauty products though, so these were fun to try. Birchbox warned that the formula is super-concentrated and they were right – a little goes a long way!
Verdict: I paid $10 for this box and received over $40 worth of beauty products this month! I’ll use everything, so the value is really good, but for some reason this month there isn’t any item I’m really excited about. Oh well! I can’t wait until the October box! What did you get in your Birchbox this month?
